View Full Version : +1 respect really doesn't have much to show for..

whoa it's been awhile since i got to this forum.

I just got myself a sig (no gold fortunately =D) and i decided to try it out on a couple poor blokes.

looks like it really does nothing more than to raise your respect earned from fights (not robs), and only by the bottom line. Let me explain:

Fights earn you a random amount of RP (1-6 in my case) and a ****load of xp (which i do not welcome). all it has done for me in this case was to raise the bottom line by 1 (2-6). I havent been able to achieve 7RP at all.

I might not have tried hard enough, but i'm telling you the initial joy of the sig has died down for me. to me it's a weapon with awesome stats. +1 doesn't do a thing for me.

As usual, peaceful discussion, and do let me know what you think. =D

Someone on the forum who looks at game data confirms it also raises the max respect you can get so 1-10 becomes 2-11 but you raise a very good point and that is that it's still random.

Without the sig, after the lockbox event I've had over 50 fight in every single fight I never got more then 7rp to 1 attack so the range 1-10 rp for normal player has not been met.

Anyone got over 7rp on 1 attack today?

+1 respect is a huge advantage and those of us who do not have it are going to fall further and further behind.

Well I'm an enforcer and I prob dont miss very much stam from sleeping as i have 168 stam atm. In a day I get 528 stam but for ease of calculation and the occassional fight loss, lets say 500 per day. Over the next 6 month period which is quite realistic in terms of whether i will still be playing, I will get an extra 90,000 respect (180days). Thats and added 120 Chain Whips!! Not a bad deal if u ask me:)

I also think the odds have been changed with the fights, as I was also certain to make 10 good hits with a 2000 difference with my attack there defence and now randomly loosing the odd fight.

I have gotten +7RP for fights(and just to double check had and fight). First hit +7RP but nothing above that.

This time I was over 3000 attack stronger than there defence and lost one of the 10 attacks.
Not sure if the fight odds change when you move past lvl 100.

+1 respect is definitely an advantage but not necessarily a game changer. For those who fight alot the additional respect will accumulate and get you those respect items at a faster rate. For those who do not fight much it won't make much difference. I fight alot and would love to have the diamond sig but I have no gold.;-(

Since i got my SIG my respect point drop seems much higher i get lots of 5-8 per fight and almost nothing lower.
I managed to get in 4 days almost 24000 respect points i am going to wait until i hit 50000 hahahaha

I was just making an observation on the way things are.

I am not opposed to it.

This is a bonus that without someone like Allhail looking at the stats, it is pretty much next to inpossible to know if we are really getting it.

Assume you are getting the bonus. It doesn't change the fact that you can have a streak of bad luck and someone without the Sig can have a streak of good luck. Getting +1 RP per fight win does not necessarily mean you will always get more RP per fight than someone without the Sig.

You're comparing one person to another. You're right, but that's not the comparison that matters to me. The comparison that matters to me is: me with the +1 to me without the +1. In 10,000 fights won I'm going to have 10,000 more respect than if I didn't have the +1.

And that 10,000 respect is going to make a difference.

I envy the +1 respect, and congratulate those who got it on their achievement.

It is easy to be cynical and dismiss the results as luck, but they made a real effort.

In essence, the sig-is sig-nificant.

JJ- Its all about the real Defense #. I attacked someone yesterday whos listed D was around 42k, but real D was 3k lower than mine which is listed at around 30k. My attack was 27k and we split the fights slightly in my favor.
