Do you get gold when you sell gold items?

What does my gold tree sell for cause my retard self just click on free for the lock box roll and I just
got my stuff to update on day 5 of event. Managed 6 diamonds in 1 day. It would really be cool if i could I could sell my 8 gold tree for 4 gold for the diamond event lol. Anyone know what you get when you sell gold items?

The cash value. You don't get gold back, unfortunately.

Buildings have a cash-equivalent price, so I assume decorations are the same. As far as I know, short of support intervention, there are no gold refunds. I should sell my pink tree in Modern War and see what I get.
