Removing Mafia?

Just wondering, has anybody dropped a lot of mafia members? and does that affect who shows up on your rivals list? I'm currently level 22, and I'm considering dropping most of my mafia members (250) down to around maybe 50, so that more the active non-campers show up on my list, so that I can actually try to loot lockboxes? Any ideas people? Thanks in advance

I deleted all my mafia and it says i still have 2100... dont know why

the closer the mafia is to your level that you drop will most likely start showing up on your rival list. There may be some gray area depending on the amount of mafia in you guys's mob as well.
