Looks like I'm stuck at 5 diamonds. Have been getting crap from the boxes the last 10 or so times I've opened them :(

I'm also at 5. All 5 have come when opening boxes between 11PM and 5AM (I don't need an alarm clock, I have a 17 month old - last night at 1:30AM she woke up screaming bloody murder. I went in and she looks up say HI and drops into her crib and immediately falls asleep. I took that as a sign that she wanted me to go open a lockbox, so I did and what do you know - a diamond)

Agree except that it sees like the beta testers mostly experienced a big slowdown at the end of their event tho. Its so hard to tell with this game whats just variance tho.

I think the consensus was that it was a bit of a rush yes. But there is always the option of using a bit of gold on the last day to speed up the process. I'm on 5 diamonds and have 45 boxes to open.

No gold used so far. Not bad with 5 days left to go even if it does slow down.

while the addition of lockbox brings an exciting new dimension to the game, it is not a sustainable way of increasing one's att/def stat. even though getting lockboxes is relatively easy, the challenge is unlocking them. to make matter worse, there is no guarantee that successful unlocking yields diamonds. without gold, it would be extremely difficult to get 10 diamonds and unlock the most powerful weapon available. if that was not enough, this is a timed event. who knows when the next "event" will be?

conclusion: upside-pleasant distraction to the mundane life of CC; downside- probably limited impact on stats.

Your all missing one very important part of the addition of the lockbox events, Funzio have added something extremely important to items in this new functionality, that addition is item attribute modifiers.... i.e. the Sig adds +1 respect gains to each PvP fight. That is HUGE in the long run, and that is the biggest draw to get the Sig.

People who are on 5 or 9 diamonds now, your in great shape, and you will get your final items within a day or 2... people with 3, will also get there final item within 2-3 days.... don't worry you will all get the final item, remember it is a 7day event (minus what has passed)
