Doesn't look like there'll be much of that here in Sydney today on account of the un-Australian weather. But I'm not one to complain- it's a day off from work after all. Enjoy!!

Hey babytway you robbed me while I was 'putting a shrimp on the barbie'. Anyway, rode my V8 kangaroo down to the local today (sweet ride for all you bevans out there). Ran out of crownies so I decided to hit the frog and toad. Broke down as I swerved to miss a drop bear. Kangaroo was buggered. Looks like me and the swag tonight. I'll let the kookaburra wake me in the morrow and see if I can hitch a wombat home. Weather permitting, I do live in a gum tree. Oh well, what can a bloke do.

It figures that Crocodile Dundee would steer me wrong on the shrimp vs. prawn thing.

Not VB. There's long been a rumour that it was simply Fosters. Could quite possibly be true - how often do you see Fosters for sale in Oz?

Is a meat pie really exactly what it sounds like? That doesn't sound very appealing...

lol I just felt like saying that because it's a long running joke where I work. But Fosters eh? I'm gonna have to present this new angle on Monday!

Yes and no... It's beef and gravy enclosed in a savory pastry. You'd probably be surprised at how good they are, as long as you had one made from quality ingredients and baked correctly. Personally I think the reason they aren't popular worldwide is because the companies who have tried to produce and market them have a very poor quality product- mass produced using low-grade meat (often containing small pieces of bone/tendons etc.) then frozen to later be prepared by a consumer not familiar with the best methods for cooking and serving. Oh, and it was originally invented by Greeks. Aussies just perfected it.

Crown lager is fosters. I did a stint at CUB when I was younger. Fosters is a big seller o'seas. Btw crocodile is awesome. Tastes just like chicken lol. It's good for you too. I am a QUEENSLANDER and I can spell, unlike the other guy.
