Gold sale timer in way of earn free gold!?

Hey guys

With the update today on my iPhone 4, I was able to see the message "tap here to earn free gold" when clicking the gold purchase menu. Unfortunately, the countdown timer for when the new gold sale ends is now in the way and I can't see it or press it. Is there a way around this?

At least you get the option to earn free gold! I never have had that option!
