View Full Version : Question for Funzio Devs on casualty rate

I'm in the same boat as others where casualty rate was too high before and appears to have just gone up even more. Clearly too high to be profitable now, whatever the strength of the rival I attack. PvP is a big part of the game. For me and, I expect, others.
I've really enjoyed the game and think it has tons of potential, but it's almost unplayable now, or at least attacking is.
My question - are you folks at funzio seeing this as an issue and trying to fix it or is it the view there that the game is working more or less right and this is just how it is going to be? I know game balancing takes time and I'll be a little patient, but if the loss rate we're seeing is right from your perspective want to know so I can decide whether to quit.
I know a response to the community on this (big) issue would be appreciated.

The devs not going to respond! If they tell you the truth people will read it and find another game. They don't care about the average player they want the gold player. People are probably frustrated and spending REAL dollars so they will keep silent. My suggestion is be patient and check here often.. You will hear if the causality rate changes. Until then just camp and defense up.

I actually like this game more than crime city but do think the unit losses kill it to the point that I will not spend gold on it at this stage unless something changes, even if they increased the amount of valor earned and reduced the valor cost of items but for now pvp just seems to send you backwards not forwards and without pvp in this game whats the point? Its also not fun for you or the person being camped being forced to pick on players that are really weak just to reduce your potential losses

My losses per attack have become unsustainable so I have stopped attacking. High value units get whacked almost every time now against even comparably weak opponents. Loot farming now, not as much fun....

Yup, with this change any thought of buying gold would be silly. Rapid decline of non gold players will leave it with a few active players fast!
Sadly, its a fun game.

Funzio can fix fast, but maybe we need to tell to to all people that Funzio dont care users, to and post Facebook,twitter, applestore, iTune, review and all posible forums about this, maybe this post will be delete Like my last 5 post, but If he delete, this will probe that Funzio is a BAD company, I will Take screen shot and I will post in all sites If Funzio delete this post again, lets put a ZERO start review for amazing BAD ATTENTION!
I hope Funzio fix.....I really hope.

It's weekend. I would give them time to find and confirm the bug before taking any major action. If there is no statement on the change by Monday, that the new unit loss rate is by design, or that it's a bug being worked on I would be very surprised. If I was a paying customer this sort of change without notice would get me very upset,,,,
As I'm not I have a bit more patience ... ;)

I already changed my rating to 1 star on App Store... really dissapointed on Funzio... Hope lots of people do the same...

I also gave a 1 star rating on iTunes. The developers have already communicated during this weekend but continue to ignore this unit loss issue. I wouldn't expect much response from them - why would they change the current mechanics? They love that it forces gold purchases and they clearly don't mind that it frustrates everyone else.

Why am i all the sudden losing 2,3,4 units when attacking rivals when i was losing zero before. This is a silly change. If i earn 400 valor and lose over 3,000 in valor units to get it i will no longer attack rivals

Bump. This weekend there was an uproar regarding the increased unit losses. The developers indicated "they were looking into this bug". It's been almost a week and...nothing.
If it was a bug, I'm curious why it's taking so long to fix? Can one of the developers please have the decency to explain why you are choosing to ignore this issue?

Funzio doesn't care about this game at all really the only time you gonna get a response from any of them is if you Mod there game like I did or If your a gold buyer simple as that. Your best bet is to just chill and camp

Hello from Funzio,
We do care, but for some reason we have not done a good job at actually writing on the forums. We were also slow to address this latest casualties issue. Short answer to the original question is that we have found an issue and are working on ways to improve it. Casualties should be improved in some cases already (just in the past hour). And in the next month the pvp experience is going to improve drastically.

puttago, assuming you do work for Funzio can I suggest you get your status changed from "Junior Member" to something more representative, everyone else from Funzio is down as "Developer" so there's no doubt about them.

Does not appear to have changed and may be worse! I just attacked two players 1/2 my strength. Attack on first lost 2 $225000 anti aircraft vehicles! Attack on the other lost 1 AAV, 1 Super Hornet, 1 border gunship!
I don't think I will do any more testing........ That was only from two attacks!

puttago did say casualties should be improved, you can read that two ways! I took no chances when I saw his post I used the "free gold" I got with the game to get a building finished an hour early and another underway, I was sitting with over 4,000,000 outside my vault for a while!

I'm sorry but it's true the first time I modded Their game I emailed them showing how I did it so they can fix it as fast as they could boom they replied the very next day, I email then about gold that I paid for and didn't get boom email the very next game
That's how most game makers are they will attempt to fix the but the only thing they really care about is their Gold buyer and the people that show them their game sucks because it can be modded so easily.....

Glad to hear there is a fix in the pipeline and that Funzio have apologised for a lack of communication during this issue. (Assuming Puttago is indeed a Funzio rep)

When you click on the Quick Links link and view Forum Leaders I do not see Puttago listed in there. From the looks of his profile and lack of listing in Forum Leaders it would sound like he is a user like us. Unless I missed something, usually the employees (dev's) have their title in the profile and a moderator is listed on the Forum Leaders page.

Until we here from CJ54 or CC Mark (they seem to spend the most time in MW) on the subject I would be careful with what info you give anyone on this site. Only trust those who can be identified as employees or moderators.

That's why I raised the issue earlier, I would expect Funzio employees to be identifiable to the users and at the same time I would have expected anyone not an employee but pretending to be one for several weeks to have been banned by now.

Issue still not fixed for me (lvl 44, atk & def 6000). Just lost multiple high value units to someone with 800 defense. This is beyond stupid.
Can't the devs just roll back to before last Friday night's update? Everyone is happy and Funzio has more time to debug. What's so darn hard about that?

To be fair, it might not be that easy; it would depend how linked the client app is to their new server version. It may well be designed to be backwards compatible (old app works with new server version), but may have issues the other way around.

This doesn't make any sense. The problem was caused by a server update alone. It can be fixed with a server update alone. A new client app has nothing to do with the current problem. Roll it back. End of Problem.
