View Full Version : Tips to get the best rewards when fighting pvp

Wanted to share my tips when fighting pvp to get max reward

*PVP means Person Vs Person

Ive noticed in this game there a pattern which make you determine if it's ok to go on or your just wasting your stamina on small return so this how it's played.

1. Look on your rival list find a mark and stroll into his hood (don't blind attack only blind attack rival that have fought you and lost on your empire times but you need to make sure the attack happen in the past 10 min over that leave the person for now)
2. Once in his hood look for any building that haven't been collected if all building have been collect, look out for the laundromat if so that means the person was playing the game in the last 5 min unless he just had his laundromats robbed
3. Once the criteria of the hood is met then look at his stat to see if they are not overly higher or overly lower in stats then you (if it's too high you'll lose to many time to be effective and if too low the return are minimal)
4. If the person is of balanced stats to you then the return of respect point will be high in the fight, you'll have an average of 5 per hit which is good so 50 respect point per 10 fight is great also someone of even strength whom has been robbing attacking or doing map mission at the time of your attack will more then likely also be droping pvp loots but if the person is of lower stat than you he will only give you loot that will only add 1 to your att/def example (wrestler mask, nail bat) which you have too many of anyway but the higher end pvp loots(m72 rl, skull shotgun eta) are more likely to drop from people of even stat to you.
5. Ignore 1-4 if he has $1,000,000+ in hand give it a shot regardless unless he has over 35% better defense then your attack you won't win once.
6. If I forgot something (watch this space)

I don't think there are many hard and fast rules in PvP. All my Lowriders (6), Skull Shotguns (12), and M72s (6) have come from players with stats between 4k and 14k lower than mine. I don't normally hit players within 2k of my attack, because I don't like to waste the stamina on a loss.

And I just emptied my stamina in blind PvP attacks (Sorry G Wiz! I hit attack before I read your name!)...one of the players that I hit had 8800 defense to my 23.6k attack, and consistently gave me between 5-7 respect with each hit. It suprised me, but it was there nonetheless.

I'm pretty chicken when it comes to PvP and I do a lot of PvP. I usually pick on rivals with defense about 8K below my attack.

But I was just showing how to get the better end of loot per hit ratio as you can hit someone who is camping so he hasn't looted or done any mission he will give you high xp for low respect point and in 10 hit you'll get no loot not even a butterfly as lvl up too fast as weak mafia give out 25xp per fight whereas closer match people alway give 1-5 xp in the first 5 attack and by the 3rd attack you have a loot

Amber you are correct must be thinking something else when typing

I've had poor results with PvP loot, as in rarely getting any to drop. But I generally have attacked players that I figured would have trouble attacking/robbing me back as well as trying to avoid a loss during the streak goals.

With the strategy to get better loot, do I need to look for an opponent with just a defense level close to my attack level, or do both attack and defense need to be similar for both of us?

My stats are 6085 attack / 7210 defense. I just looked around a bit and other than a player with higher stats than me who I don't want to get riled up, these were the closest rivals I found along with the results of my attacks...

3695 A / 4503 D:
1st attack results - 11X and 4R
2nd - 3X and 4R
3rd - 5X and 3R

4250 A / 6019 D:
$10, 9X, 4R
$9, 5X, 4R
$8, 7X, 3R

4502 A / 4899 D:
5X, 3R
$23, 8X, 3R
$20, 5X, 1R

No loot dropped, which from my experience I would figure is normal.

Do I need to be attacking players that have higher stats than these (which may be a little difficult)? The loot I have gotten in the past would have been from rivals probably with lower stats than these.

That sounds more like my experience as compared to the folks who are awash in butterfly knives. ;-)

Took a look back through my loot to see what I've gotten from about 3100 PvP wins.
6 nail bats
25 butterfly knives
4 armored police trucks
24 army helmet
17 wrestler masks
3 boxing trunks
13 steyr augs
17 hunting rifles
33 micro uzis (PvP?)
19 m14 sniper rifles (PvP?)

Any ideas if these are average results, or could I be doing better?

I have to say, I'm delighted when I get any loot! I'm just wondering with this thread if there are things I should do differently to improve what I do get.

Theres no trick to PVP, it makes no difference on a loot side if your attacking ppl with high or very low defence (I know that from personal experiance). Either your level or amount of PVP wins affects your loot %'s.

I just attack blindly (which shouldn't be done until your happy with your stats and have completed streak missions) and I have some very nice loot as a result of it.

RE point 4: Respect and exp distribution goes up as you level up. By the time your level 120 the difference in (R) between ppl of 125 and pl of 100 is minimal. Just PVP what you are confident in fighting. Players slightly lower than you are usually a good choice.

Your drop % seems a little low (5.1%), everyone else gets the 10-11% drop rate. Army helmets and Micro Uzi's don't even drop for me (again, thats either because of my level or amassed wins) - they probably got replaced by Lowriders and M72's at some point which could indicate level based. You sure your not missing an item off the list, you should really have around 320 loot after 3100 wins :)

Yeah, I guess I did miss some, but not sure if these are all from PvP...
14 walther p99
5 police armor
3 hudson hornet
3 dark alley coats
45 colt 45
14 green beret
3 bloody ak, i think at least 1 was from a quest completion

Sounds like maybe better loot will come with more wins and moving to higher levels, so I'll be looking forward to that!

What level are you btw?

Im thinking PVP loot is changed with leveling up. For example, Army helmets, micro uzi's, colt 45's, and green berets don't drop for me anymore which would suggest a change in loot based on level. If these items still drop for ppl over lvl100 with low PVP wins then that could seriously point win's as the PVP distribution list over level.

Anyway, bloody AK's, police armor and colt 45's (and i think green berets) are PVP loot. Not sure aboutthe rest offhand, Dark alley coats arn't pvp for sure.

Adding in green bererts, police armor, your 3 bloody AK's, 45 colts, and 14 Walther P99's means you've had a 7.8% drop rate which is still kinda low. Maybe your still missing some equip off the list. I really can't remember all the PVP loot. t could just be a luck factor which would indicate in your next 3100 PVP's you due double the amount of drops you already have ~!

On another note, Wrestle masks, Boxing trunks, S-AUG's, Armoured trucks, butter knives, police batons, police armor, and sniper rifles all drop fairly commonly for me at lvl120. The rare ones are the Skull shotgun, Pimp lowrider, Bloody AK, and M72 launchers. Not sure what level you need to be to gain access to the more powerful weapons. I get a happy face when I see an APT or lowrider drop, the rest is practically useless for me.

Almost makes me glad I didn't start fight streaks until I was at about level 50.

Well that's a really good point. I've emphasized the fight streaks because I thought the PvP loot was supposed to be so beneficial and some of them have the nice respect bonus on completion. Maybe it's better to wait on attacks until higher levels - but then when is the best time to start up again?

I've currently got the "Winning Streak Round 29" goal with 48 consecutive fights w/o a loss as the task. I forget which Thug Lift goal I recently finished.

Did you wait a while to really start fighting? That's what I did and my numbers are similar to yours. The butterfly knife (you want the nail bat anyway) opens up fairly early in the game, and if you fight often, by the time you reach 10,000 wins, you'll have a lot more.

Until then...keep fighting!

No real mystery, but I'll share. I try to fight people near my stats. Unlike what Figi stated, the closer the stats the higher the XP and RP are for me. (Could be different for others, I just do what works for me)

Also, I don't farm anymore. Been doing the story line for awhile now, just finished the China Town map.

Finally, my energy/stamina is never full unless I level up. A full bar is wasted energy/stamina.

Hope this helps :D

I second that. Not always easy when you try to have a life outside of CC, but at least strive for it. Depend os the playing style of course, though.

I should amend my statement to "almost never". When I'm working a double, my Stamina will be full for a few hours. But if I'm out with friends or something of the sort, all I do is excuse myself for a few minutes and burn 20-30 stamina. I don't get to be as selective as I'd like, but at least I'm not leaving the bar full. Thanks for catching that Amber!

Hey Cooz and Anubis -

Are you guys working on tracking PvP loot? Or maybe you had just already been discussing the Butterfly knife drop rate when it came up in this thread.

In case there's an attempt to figure out more details about the PvP loot, wanted to mention I got my first (only) Pimp's lowrider right at the end of level 57.

When I got it, I had just been attacked and won 5K off the guy. So I attacked back and got around 12K before he got the rest banked. Got several loot in the exchange and was so jazzed to get the lowrider!

On the topic of maximising PvP returns I have a question for all you experienced players.

I have been playing for about 10 days, exclusively PvP. I'm 1690 wins to 76 losses so far. About 60% of those losses have been incurred in the last few days since reading this thread. When I'm not on a streak goal or I'm at the start of a streak I've been looking for rivals with defense similar to my attack. At the moment my attack is about 80% higher than most players at this level so sometimes I have to search for a while to find someone who meets this criteria, but when I do I hit them repeatedly and accept a few losses. When I'm going for a winning streak I still search for rivals whose defense is within 10-20% lower than my attack. My inventory so far is almost exclusively from PvP rewards and RP purchases and at the moment, only a very few gold buyers and tortoises with 10x my income have attack/defense stats at or above mine.

So my question is this: I'm about to hit lvl 32, I've saved the RP for a few levels and I have enough to purchase ~15 NVG when I do. Should I though? I'm thinking that's going to make it even harder to find rivals with defense within 20% of my attack, as that can already take some time. I don't want to buy the NVG only to find that the PvP loot drop rate lowers.

So do I spend the RP for the fun of it and push my stats even further above the pack? Or do I continue to save my RP and keep my stats closer to maximise PvP drop rates?

Also, does your experience support that the idea that its worth spending the time vetting my opponents based on this criteria or should I just hit everyone, even if their stats are <50% of mine?

Cheers,
Baba Yaga

On the topic of maximising PvP returns I have a question for all you experienced players.
Cheers,
Baba Yaga

Baba first thing first when you are under lvl 70+ you won't get the high end loots when you have loot drops in pvp.
The high end loots are e.g pimp lowrider, skull shotgun, m72 rocket launcher eta.
So in turn it don't matter if your rival defense is over 50% weaker then your attack.
Now to get as much possible loot when fighting here my tip.

1.When attacking a rival PVP only attack them three times. Only attack them more if in the three hits they dropped more then 1 loot or if in the 3 hits one loot was a high end loot.
2.If a rival when you successfully attack them give out low rp & high xp, move on as they normally don't drop any type of loot in 10 hits.

About your saved respect point. I find save them as an emergency stat boost. In the future you'll get a stalker who won't leave you alone and spending it then will be a wiser bet.
As spending respect coins are up to an individual (It's your choice)
