If so then "this is huge" is the understatement of the year. Each of these options is a better deal than the best M4 A1 location.

He didn't tell these people to spend their money. I didn't spend one bit of energy or money to search for this, because I knew you guys already had it on lock down testing wise. I have done my fair share of testing, sharing, creating templates as well as using the data that others have shared.

If you all thought "no one is getting this gun, this is crap, what the f---?!", would there have been such a frantic search, build up of suspense, and true feeling of "holy sh-t!" once the truth came out?

It's a game, have fun with it. I hadn't started playing yet when this apparently happened with M4A1s, and I started getting screwed over at every turn once I did find out about them. But that's neither here nor there.

My point is, that for almost a day, it almost felt like I had a slight advantage for the first time, in contrast to what felt like a handicap.

Since the start of the year my level of enjoyment of this game has gone up quite a bit, it seems that problems are being ironed out more quickly, devs are more on the ball, customer service has improved, Funzio is at least looking at suggestions...

It will be fixed in the non-HD version. Per-click loot is the correct behaviour in the HD version per Funzio support.

On my camper I could get free gold and did to the tune of about 20 gold on my Ipad. I trasfered to an ipod touch no more free gold button. i put my main account on my Ipad and the free gold button is now gone from my HD version.

Turns out I was right in suspecting a bug though.

Am I going to apologize for anything? No. Why should I? For pretty much the first time ever, I had information that was somewhat new and not readily available to everyone. I don't do the "nah nah I got it you don't" approach with anything, but if I had kept quiet one of two things would have happened. 1) The thread could have been nothing but unsuccessful attempts and far more wasting of gold on refills, until allhail broke the news. 2) Someone else would have found the Mossberg somewhere and posted here about it anyways.

We had very similar experiences so far in the game...we are above about lvl 105, use the HD version, we were both big whiners during Xmas about HL attacks, we get free golds which we bought an ice cream store with, and now the mossberg. So when he went from 1 to 3 to 6 moss, I knew what was going on, and I share his sentiment about savoring the slight advantage. Although not all together truthful, he did create awareness about the weapon, bringing all forummers effort to bear to test the locations, that's the lasting legacy. Look at how many views there are on all the threads, and you realize how many are sleepers and don't contribute at all. These are the free riders.

The real person to point the finger at is Funzio for not realizing Non-HD version multi-click buildings/people don't drop items. To me, that's a big OOPS moment there. Frankly, makes me a bit upset that i wasted my good time farming on places that didn't have ANY potential to drop anything other than money.... And here i wasted tens of thousands of energy, and multiple levels farming for items (not just the mossberg) that don't even exist! What a crock!

I think Funzio didn't anticipate the level of farming this board had created. After all you don't get item stats when you pick up loot, so if you've never seen a "Mossberg 590 Shotgun" loot before and only later discover its stats, you'll probably have forgotten where you got it if you're a casual player.

I played CC on G+ briefly and note that the loot is dropped by AREA, not by building/NPC.

For the record, i think funzio making this a farmable item is a terrible idea. It will broaden the gap between forum members and non forum members greatly, and i think cause many more weak players to quit sooner than they otherwise would. As much as this will improve all our stats over the coming weeks and months (unless there is a change), there's another way to look at this. Some of our previous strategies and previous investment of time and effort have just been neutered.

Thinking back to recent posts of my own -- how foolish of me! I have:
- advocated strongly for the importance of an economy... now what's that good for? some Jets in like a year? explosives churn maybe, but only after I still grind on my economy for a few more months to be able to afford the good ones at volume.
- advocated strongly for NVBs... now who cares about NVB vs Yams at mid-level? Respect is still useful, but it's just got a kick in the teeth. RP used to be a resource second only to gold (with the one caveat/anomaly of the M4A1). Now RP is basically a third tier economic resource beneath gold and farming for all item types. All my grinding LMs and more recently Clothing... that sure looks like a fat waste of time now! Look at the poor RPG. Glad I didn't buy any of those! Chain Whips and Exelero are now the only two RP items with any long term staying power, and anyone searching for RP value that lasts, they basically have those two to pick from.

meh, i won't even finish this list -- it's disappointing. And I'm one of the lucky ones who's got the HD version! I am looking forward to that first Mossberg, but in a bittersweet kind of way. I want to see it before I go to bed tonight, but it feels like it might be a bit of a hollow victory. By discounting the majority of the effort I've put into the game so far... bah, I should just quit writing, right now.

Maybe tomorrow I'll feel different. Maybe I'll pick up the game and only do the parts I think are fun. It's been a while since I've attacked (I mostly rob lately) and I'd been looking forward to attacking more. But then again, as I wrote previously "stat gazing" and decision tree planning are fun too. Those feel like they just got a kick in the teeth. I really hope I enjoy whatever I first do with the game tomorrow.

and, I seem to have lost that draft. oh well. the short of it is, this is way too powerful - the math doesn't work and this has got to be a bug, despite what Support apparently told allhaildiscordia. If this is the intent (per click loot drops of this caliber/quality, at these rates, for this little energy), the game will get so imbalanced so fast it's absurd. I understand the need to keep late game players interested, but I thought these loot items made sense at the per-job drop rates. By using these drop rates per click, the game has instantly devalued weeks and months of effort for most players (not just us forum players, but everyone). I can't see how this isn't a mistake, really. The sooner they fix it, the better for all of us. Or, welcome to the new game, everyone! It resembles the old CC, but the stats scale so differently you'll hardly remember the old game in a few weeks.

I just transfered my game to my ipad and dumped a whole bar of energy on Sal. I got two modified shotguns.

Yep, the mossberg shotgun had different stats than those that I had thought. So I replaced all instances of the mossberg shotgun with the modified shotgun which has correct stats.

Imagine having all your strategies messed with like that because of bugs and technical difficulties (?), and having that go on for over a month. You would feel handicapped. I guess this turns out to have been a bug, and for the first time it wasn't a bug that messes with whatever you try to do.

Anubis I know we had a one off argument but after I noticed how many people stood up to let me know how important member you was for the info and laughs you've shared with other users. So it beggars belief that some forum members believe that there is nothing wrong by keeping the info to themselves. So all i can say is let's have a look rationally, in my life I remember my friend use to get me to play pro evo soccer didn't enjoy it too much and neither did I wanted to exert myself to be a better player. The reason was he would never share any of his tip with anyone, used to say if I tell them my secret they'll use it against me also this guy Ive know him since he was 11 now is over 30 but don't have that real friendship for him also he is the reason I'm playing crime city as one day he was playing the game I ask him what it was, downloaded it and like the game but now the fun part was every time I ask him what reward did you get for so & so he would say can't remember if I ask him have you received such and such item he say I don't look at my inventory I don't know I just collect them (sounding very similar) but the funny thing is because I don't play modern war he knows every loot in every place and all the minor detail in the game but because I play crime city he has a mental block lol when I do ask him anything about crime city, but I always help him regardless when he ask me for advice. Now I have another friend and his way of playing a game is to teach everything he learnt to his opponent (meaning me) so he can have a good match and also it more enjoyable having the fun rivalry then a serious rivalry and also he still hard to beat so people like templex who defended dudeman was only because he share the info with you or you (templex) told dudeman the info not sure what order who new first but it all good so I'll be making a poll to see if you had info on the game no one else had who you share with your friends also I was lucky as I never was dudeman friend before or after the mossy mystery got solved so I felt no hurt by not sharing it with me but did feel a bit jealous as I wanted to be the person to reveal the location and criteria of how to loot the mossbergs but it couldn't of been a better person then allhaildiscordia so In my opinion he is the hero of the forum of 2012 that the info was so daming to Conzio, they went back to work to stop the looting of the mossberg.

Hi Fig...dudeman and I never communicated and he's not even on my mafia list it's just over the forum I pay more attention to what he says because he has similar past experiences probably due to HD factor (ok I dunno how u do it but I have to put a full stop here). Over the past 24 hr i did feel obligated to share my experience on the m590 here on the forum but 2 factors made me hesitate (1--the selfish reason) have only 650 energy so I know I am severely disadvantaged when it comes to farming and once the secret is out I know others who has never contributed will benefit more than I...and (2) the collective deductive logical and coding knowledge from active members here is so great that you guys were figuring things out so rapidly I knew the m590 truth will be out within 2 days anyways. But if you read my in game messages I did share the knowledge with 2 players who were not even on my mafia list who who robbed me before because this is after all a game and i believe we should share the good things around and no fun keeping things to yourself.

While I spent no gold, the empathy is there and its not cool for the devs to treat us as such.

I think we need to see an official rule book from funzio so that EVERYONE (devs, admins and mods) can be held liable because the autonomy is a bit skewed here.

EDIT: HD users have a lot of strong weaponary on them now. I would recomend to funzio they keep the weapons in the game and update iphone asap to keep game balance.

What about the other locations for the mossberg? From what I've read only boardwalk has been verified to have changed but there are other locations. Also I have the new beta version in addition to original and I have 2 different icons and logins but with same account in same device. In the email I have noticed some script saying there have been additions to a lot of maps, basically everything from boardwalk and up. Anyone else have this? Wondering if maybe drops and rates are different

There were 2 updates in less than 24 hours which was the cause for the mis information. The first one replaced the Mossberg job drops with the 12/8 Modified Shotgun but keps the Mossberg at 50/50. The second update nerfed the Mossberg to 12/8 (and SA58) and put it back at the loot drops.
