hood expansion question

Anyone have info on hood expansion? I want to know how far I can go in a direction before I get an upgrade that is mostly road. It looks like you get 4 sidewalk squares of area with each upgrade, and 16 squares is the limit on north/south, but how far east/west before hitting a "road" upgrade?

I think each block is 16x40

Regular blocks are 16x38. The north square is 10x10. SE perimeter blocks are 16x10 while SW perimeter blocks are 10x38.

I am pretty sure a regular block is 16x40, the top block is 10x10, the top left/northwest perimeter block(s) is/are 10x40, and the top right/northeast perimeter block(s) is/are 16x10.

Edit: Technically the regular blocks are 16x40, but you will hit a road when you get the SW expansion at 16x38. Likewise, you will be at 14x(X) or 14x10 when your next SE expansion hits a road.

It looks like I am in error, though I am not 100% certain. Can a third party verify 16x40? I am one expansion short. It's hard to count based on other people's hoods.

I am almost 100% sure that a FULL block is 16x40, however, you are correct when saying a full block is 16x38 before the expansion that has 16x2 + road + 16x2.

I have seen hoods where 10 buildings with an 8x8 footprint fill an entire regular block. The only way to achieve this is with a block that measures 16x40.
