Has anyone else come across one or more players with a similar user name to your own? Almost identical?

I just saw one "DudeMan" with wall posts from some forum goers. This guy has a big gold building right in the middle of his hood.

To clarify, my game name is "Dudeman" without a capital m. I have two ice cream shops hiding in my hood, and both were free.

I still haven't bought any gold.

No other Penutts but me and it is the way I truly spell it which is my real life niccname. I have seen quite a few alex, rango, cupcake, joey, kk, and kenny...... but a lot of people have two profiles and use the same name but in small caps, big caps, or slightly spelled differently

I wasn't talking about lots of alex's and mikes using their real names, nor was I talking about people using the same name for multiple accounts.

I was just wondering how often it happens that people who use a nickname spot a complete stranger using a name that is similar or nearly identical to their own.

Other than myself, I have never seen anyone use the name "Dudeman" or any variation of it until I started playing this game. There have been many, but this most recent occasion got my attention because people from the forum had commented on DudeMan's wall thinking it was me, Dudeman. I know, I forgot to capitalize the D in my forum name... What actually happened was autocorrect capitalized the D when I started the game.

Just wanted to clarify my in game identity. I'm sure there are people here anxiously waiting to see me in their rivals list, so I would hate to disappoint! You would probably enjoy attacking and robbing doppleganger me instead of real me, since he is a gold buyer and has a higher income and better buildings, but that's not likely why anyone from the forum would be waiting for me to hit their list now is it?!

I also wouldn't want this other guy to have to deal with that. I bet he already wonders WTF when people make comments about the forum on his wall!

Sorry, I didn't mean to single you out. It seemed like I may not have been clear in my op and I took your post to show as an example of what I wasn't really talking about. I don't care what you post, but obviously I did not make myself clear and the entire discussion was shifting away from where I wanted it to go.

Tramp Stamp is common here in Mpls. When the trend was for women to wear low cut jeans so their thongs would show, that was a "whale tail" and if they went sans gruns and their crack showed, that was a "coin slot". It could only be repaired with crack spackle.

Alex is the name given to the player if:

Their old name violated the TOS (Ex: Swear words, Sexual)
They didn't make one when they joined
They transferred a game and a default "Alex" is loaded on the old device
