OK, I'm not talking about the player who only has cash buildings and a modest income. I'm talking about players that have an income per hour of $0, meaning no money buildings, and the only buildings they do have are tons of guard towers and abandoned buildings. This means they ONLY rob as a source of income besides completing some missions. IMO, these are some of the lamest players in the game b/c they obviously don't know how to develop an economy. They remind me of socialist goons who take from those who worked for it because they're either too dumb or too lazy to get it on their own.

The $0 income player was discussed on the forums before, you do not need an econ income to survive in CC, BUT, in the HL's a lot more players collect on time, leaving these players in the dust... to each there own, kinda what makes this game very interesting.

As far as fight stats go, one of these $0 income players I see a lot is definitely getting dusted. Fight wins/loss stats are like 3,200/12,000, but their rob stats are like 28000/14000. Players like that are good to earn respect coins from though lol.

Haha the game should provide them with welfare checks for their crappy economy

Good try, but $0 hoods show neither capitalist nor socialist principles. Both are formal systems that opperate based on established rules. $0 hoods and all other hoods in crime city thrive through performing illegal activities outside of established systems.

Let's not decide how others should play the game. In the end, we're all robbing and attacking each other.

It's hard to equip 500 mobs with full respect point items. You need cash weapons to fill up the lacking equipments as well. Most people with no good hood are weak, lacking of vehicles 69 camero & melee weapons like steel garrote or explosives...

If you don't want to be robbed by those people, simply equip all weapons to your mobs, build more defense buildings...

I can't stand these hoods either. How hard would it be to just keep a couple cheap buildings around for folks to rob? If they make a living by robbing, it should be the least they can do; to provide nothing back is lame, but yah, plenty of folks are like that. The hoods where someone spells out a nasty message in decorations are even more lame. At least they could try to be witty or something!

What baffles and annoys me even more though are the folks with just one building out of a pair, and it's up at level 8 -10, and they have acres of space. I "get" that not everyone cares about approaching an optimal economic build, but wow. Just wow. Early in the game i wrote it off as "maybe they just don't understand they can have 2" or similar misconceptions. But I'm still seeing this phenomenon in the 70s and 80s levels. Just baffling.

I'll get there, but not until 2013. You really need a defense of over 100,000 to fend off ALL robbers. Even Payam the great gets robbed from time to time.

Playing without a strong hood economy is a severe disadvantage and in the long run they will not be able to keep up with the rest of the field. I don't mind having these people around to get respect coins from.

What on earth should that have in common with socialism? Isn't it rather the basic creed of capitalism, that the majority should do the work and get almost nothing, and a small minority should have most of the wealth without needing to work. Only a game with a socialist economy would be rather boring...
And people who make their life stealing from others, aren't hey called criminals. Welcome to Law City :)

I wanted to start this topic and vent also but figured I should take a breath and relax lol, I dont get upset about being robbed but when I come to return the favor and see only a few scrub lvl 4 pizza parlors, LM's, delis and houses I get pi$$ed. Especially when they are over lvl 100

I also enjoy your daily pic updates JJ :-) lol

I agree. I hate going for revenge and their hood is a level 1 slum.

Players with "impoverished" hoods get on my nerves.

i really don't mind one way or the other. so long as their defense is weaker than my attack points. i can still get some respect points and PvP loots.

No need to be upset about that.. they may be in the game in the beginning, but now when I see empty hoods (I'm lvl 117) the player totally sucks in 99% of the times. They have no chance against people that makes 100k/h (AND rob) that can buy new great equipment every day. So just work on your economy, those players will not have a chance against you later on. When they rob you it's just going to be small change for you anyways..

i have to agree with you JJ,
after all the time and effort i put in my game, i really dont like to see an empty hood.
imo its boring not to collect cash, or even think about some strats to get very whealthy.
thats the most fun in this game:D

There are no rules to playing Crime City. This is just another strategy like camping. It's not cheating or bending the rules. It makes the game interesting seeing how different people approach game play. If everyone played the game the same it would not be as fun. Probably what upsets people with this view is that when they retaliate and find an empty hood they realize there is no way to recoup their losses. In that case strengthen your own defenses by camping, adding defense buildings or purchasing more weapons, armor, etc. You will be less of a target and fend off attacks from these impoverished hood players and also the added benefit of everyone else.

lol i guess it's ok I see most of them doing average but a few players are doing really well as a matter of fact! they can actually sustain a great amount of cash weapons so to speak and at lvl 120ish their losses are only 7000 which is pretty decent i'd say. everyone has different strategy so really there's no need to deprecate any other...

Hun, I never had $ buildings since level 30...except my warehouse then my rock cafes..:) I find it better and cheaper to rob other ppl for income.. Since this being a atk and rob game and I should say that business is very good.

My buildings is easy to rob, I only have a few defense buildings & I'm a lazy collector, J.J you could rob me free for respect point or money, I won't attack/rob you back.

It's better being robbed by a hot lady than a bald guy.

Im also very lazy at building collections. I don't want to get rid of my 3hours though because I put massive time into leveling Ice Cream shops to lvl10, and I like the way wedding Chappels look. Friends in my Mafia need a place to get married, or have a night out in the pirate Tavern, get drunk and have a Las Vegas style wedding.

Then they can go to the casino followed by the hotel and bang in the night away!
