If I were to buy only ONE building using gold, which would you recommend? I don't really like the idea of spending real money on this game but some of the numbers I'm seeing people talk about from gold buildings is pretty alluring.

Also, is there a spreadsheet or a chart of all the buildings and their respective revenues?

The answer to your question is greatly determined by what level you are at so it would be hard to answer without knowing that.
