Where can I see my units?

I am new and not sure where you can see your units. They are not at my base so where are they? or can you not see them at all?

menu-profile-inventory(you can see all your army)
menu-units(excluding loots and some limited units)

Thanks I know that but how do you see them on the screen fighting or sitting??
