Just that. Is it based on an average if you and your allies or your strongest allies?

This is indeed a newbie question.
your allies' army doesn't affect the score at all.
the content of your ally doesn't matter; what matters is the quantity of your allies.
the score is only based on your own troops.
whats the point of ally?
if your alliance number is 1, you can only have 4 units fight in a battle.(assuming you have more than 4 units)
if your alliance number is 10,you can have 40 units fight in a battle.(assuming you have more than 40 units)
i bet you have a follow-up question about the reason why needs strong ally...
if you ally with strong players, they can't attack you.

By unit u mean vehichles/planes or soldiers as well?
