Yes I received the message too and prices did go up, now we just need to figure out what "lasts longer" means

From what I can tell you only lose explosives if you lose the fight it doesn't matter if it's close. However you can still lose them when other people attack you. The most I lost was 4 so far against someone who had 24k attack to my 17.5k defense.

Just spent 600k on explosives which is a lot for me (level 78 with 21k/hr) to equip my 210 mafia. mine hadnt updated yet, so hopefully it does and these become very good value.

I don't think my prices changed yet, but I still don't think I will be stocking up. It would wreck my current building/upgrading/expanding goal that I made for myself. I have about 4 hours to collect another 500k if I want to be able to finish what I am doing without too much idling time, and that's already not likely going to happen.

I re-started it several times today and no update for me AND i'm in the US (NY)
Maybe its because i already have lots of explosives?

I am in the US and had zero explosives this morning when i saw all the stuff about them. I have quit the app a few times and it crashed a couple times, but havent restarted my ipad. Prices are still the same.

Wish i hadnt bought them tho kinda, doesnt seem worth it especially for attack at my level. Im wasting them robbing people that i would normally just lose a stamina point or two due to "robbery failures."

Let me clear this doubt. I have got no popup too. To add on, I don't have explosive with me at all. Not even 1. Therefore, having explosive doesn't affect whether you get the pop up or not! I am thinking maybe the updates goes by locations.

I just bought a bunch ($700k), reset, no popup... Losing about 15 items each defense on all sorts of attacks.

Defense explosives still suck over here on the east coast.

Do you all think it is fair for such an increase? It will only benefit the higher level/strong economy players and not give the smaller guys a stone's throw chance.

I lost 400 stun grenades in one night once. I was robbed all night by a girl whos attack was 5000 less than my defence. looking at my news list I could see she won won robbery, then lost one. She kept it up all night.

$480,000 worth lost in fights that I should never have lost!

My opinion, dont bother with explosives unless you have money to burn!

ImHo, you should only lose 1-2 per attack... I'm losing 14-15 each time...

So now I just buy offensive explosives. At least I get to choose when to use them.

By the way I'm from NY area. I'm not sure why some got new prices while others didn't . I wish I stocked up before the increase,I would recommended getting at least the middle range ones just because of how much they went up. I can't remember the old prices but I know they weren't that much. I def didn't pay 15000 for one IED I think they where round 3000.

Currently the new exp prices are defined as a Test in the data, some players have it, some don't, it's randome (just like the guns price differences that happened a month ago), if they decide to keep the new prices, they will role them out to everyone.

Does anyone know how much higher your attack needs to be compared to your opponent's defense so as not to lose any explosives? I'm using 20% difference as a guideline and that seems to work. I found that if the gap is only 10% then some explosives will be expended. Hoping to hear some about some others' experience/insights. Thank you.

Due to the variability present in fight mechanics, I, too, prefer a 20-25 percent buffer and concur with your empirical findings. Even with the buffer there seems to be a ~10% chance of losing at least one.
