Ok, thread # 2.. :)
Me and this player gazza are going back and forth about zero income players.
He is a zero income player cause he was camped. He sold all his buildings and now just has defense structures.
My thought is that he is a b1tch for not having any income buildings. He is to scared to have build any cause he had a bad experience. Now, although i was getting camped a bit a took other measures to get out of the hit range.
Gazza continues to argue with me about it.
I am looking for the community to give their thoughts on this. If I am wrong, ok cool, no big deal, but i feel like it is totally defeating the point of the game.
He can rob people but cannot be robbed. That is a leech in my opinion.
Everyone plays the game differently . Gazza doesn't like to get robbed so he got rid of his money buildings. It's a strategic move on his part. If you don't like the way he plays, then move on.
Is gazza also camping @ your place? I know this player and can ask him stop.

I hate getting robbed, but I cannot hit someone back that has nothing to rob. It feels like he is cheating. I gotta stand there in a fight and take all the hits, cant hit back at all.
No he is not camping. He has hit me 3 times in the last few days which is acceptable. But he is getting 3-5k at a shot, so i feel like some retaliation is in order. But he has nothing to rob.
It started as he robbed me once and I made a comment to him about not having any buildings at all, and him being a leech in the game. Then he started hurling insults at me like no ones business and its been going strong since.
I am the scared one, etc,
be cool like him, stupid ass stuff.
I understand that its his strat, but he talks trash likes he is better than everyone and I am pointing out, he sold everything cause he got robbed alot and has no place to call me the loser.
He does not seem to understand that i simply disagree with his game play style and I think that any player that sells all their buildings because they get attacked alot is defeating the point of the game. If every player did that, the game would not be as fun.
its cool, i understand he is defending himself and that is his style of game play. We obviously dont see eye to eye.

easy solutions for you:
a) build up your defense
b) set up alarm to collect when your building are ready!
what im doing right now is option b cuz no matter how high my defense are, there are always someone who stronger than me! :)

This! I couldn't agree more. I use the alarm on my phone to remind me of one of 3 things:
Income is ready
Construction is complete
Upgrade is complete

I have a few money buildings (mostly for bait so people will try and rob them and give me easy access to them on the news list) but really can't see the point of income buildings they cost so much and take so long to level, no way will i set an alarm and get up in the middle of the night for a phone app, just seems like it would take months if not longer to get a return on investment not to mention wasting time upgrading money buildings is time that you are not upgrading your defence buildings. Just seems so much easier and quicker to let others upgrade their buildings and take their money while upgrading your defence buildings, of course the catch is if too many play like this then there would be no one to rob.

No no no, I guess I should have clarified. I set an alarm, during the day. So say I wake up at 9 a.m., I check my upgrade from last night and if its finished, I start upgrading the next building. If that upgrade is going to take 3 hours, I will set my phone's stopwatch to vibrate in 3 hours to let me know.
I really like Crime City, but I'm not going to lose sleep over the game.

You problem is you. If you stats weren't so weak this would be a non-issue.

I totally agree here... I also read Gazza's wall and some of your insults only added more fuel to the fire. If you had let it go and played your own game, it wouldn't have come to this. You win some you loose some, just try and enjoy the game.

Waaah waaah waaah.....he hit you, you smacked talked him, now you have given him incentive to do it again and again and again. Really stupid move on your part. Don't smack talk people if you have ****ty stats. You are absolutely begging for it. The only solution is to beat him, spam him, or one of you change levels.
On his part, it's a dumb strategy to have no income if you want to play long term, but some people only have fun robbing, so that's what they do. Get over it. It's part of the game.
BTW, your analogies are a little on the dramatic side. He is NOT part of your life.

Yeah, I usually just abstain from attacking people like that and it ends up being a one time thing since that way i dont show up in his news feed. I felt like expressing myself once and told this guy that it must suck having to depend on everyone else for money; he told me to f$ck off, I called him a soft b&tch; no big deal :-)
I could care less about getting robbed because at least i'll have something to collect.

I was only talking about the fact that he is a zero income player. thats all. I dont care that he attacked me, as far is that is concerned we are cool. If someone was verbally attacking you, how would you react. Its a natural defense to wanna state ur case and prove your point.
All i wanted to say is that he is a leech on the game we play.
and i accept all the comments back to me, but in the end i just remember its a game and I brought the peanut gallery into this myself, so i accept all the comments both good and bad.
For any that say blah, blah, and Waaah waaah waaah, u do not know what empathy is or your naturally a bully.

Although playing with no income buildings ("the zero income strategy") is perfectly fine, I feel that players who pursue that avenue are not getting the complete experience of the game.

He is not a zero income player. He just doesn't get his income from his own buildings.

First things first... I am not taking any ones side and I never said what Gazza did was right either. All I said was shoulda left it alone.
My reaction to verbal attacks in this GAME, is "LOL" then I delete their comment. I wouldn't go and do it first though. This game is called Crime City, you gotta expect the leeches and unemployed. Or else we'd all be playing sims.

Usually lower. Sitting your money in the bank is a complete waste, or on weapons. I invest every penny into upgrading money buildings and now get 30k per hour at lvl 85. Never bought gold bars either. I cannot believe what I just read! If it gets robbed, who cares, you'll still collect the remains and collect the full payout next time. Anyone not doing this.. well, youve missed out on ALOT of income. I always have a building upgrading, to maximise my payouts. Can't believe this post.

I think this is a poor analogy. Badd was just being blunt and to the point.
I get camped over and over by Saif, my buildings aree good income, his buildings are poor but provide a lot of respect. The money he takes from my hood is pennies compared to what I earn from buildings, robbing, and energy so Im happy to keep the battles up because the respect im getting is just making me stronger.
Raising defence high enough to fend off Robbers is the best thing to do, but it is not easy. You masses of it, and generally isn't worth doing unlewss your going to invest in Agencies. Anything else takes up to much room for the defence given.
The only cheating in this game is hacking. The rest is just styles of play.

Any upgrade on a building, at the very worst, will return money on investment at 40 days.
Non-Tycoon ROI on a level 10 Casino upgrade is nearly 1,000 days. 377 out of 650 new constructions and upgrades have ROIs exceeding 40 days (includes cash equivalent figures for gold buildings).
Sitting your money in the bank is a complete waste, or on weapons. I invest every penny into upgrading money buildings and now get 30k per hour at lvl 85.
If you're truly pursuing the ROI track you should have so much money left over that it becomes difficult to use, especially that late into the game.

Diffrent styles for diffrent players gratz on your play style helps fuel my income plus you will be in my target range in the next few days so I'll make sure to rob you blind if I see you.
You invested money and make 30k per hour? Big deal I would avarage a lot higher than that just robbing people while investing nothing and can use my upgrade times/money for defence building so at L200 if i want a L10 nightclub or 2 won't need to worry about it getting robbed and can use it for bait to rob others.

Yeah, no offense, but that doesn't exactly make you Yoda or anything. I was at 30k/hr before level 85. In comparison to others around our level though, you're definitely doing well, it's just a matter of choice though. I've taken well more than $30k off people hundreds of times. Some people don't want the hassle of collecting, so they just fight and buy weapons and fight some more. If it works, hey, go for it.

I don't know Warren Buffet personally, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess if he wanted your car, he'd quickly be able to find a way to get it.

Firstly - Steamboatwilly - I was not aware that I had robbed you personally since I rob the list, not the player!! You chose to start the slanging match and I beat you in that as well. It is my perogative to play the game in my own way. Apparently I hit you 3 times in 3 days - lmao - I sold my buildings because I was being hit 3 times an hour by a gold player called Ah Beng who bullied and beat me senseless!! (I dont know what happened to him BTW)
Secondly - Although I have no issues if people are down on their luck and on benefits, I'm not. In fact I'm quite the opposite! I could easily afford throwing a few K at the game to be king of the castle but that would ruin the experience! I even choose not to buy gold weapons as I would feel a bit like a bully since I attack very regularly. I have no issues with those who chose this path and some are great guys, like Eisa. Also Max Power came to my defense and he sounds like a damn good player and Ive seen Anubis in the list and bounced off him a few times!! lol
Thirdly - I told you willy, that I would build once Ah Beng was out of my lists - and I have so feel free to rob it!! IT'S A GAME - someone took over $200K off me 2 days ago in one hit and my message to him (and I quote) - "good take dude!! lol". It made me smile, because, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, IT'S A GAME!!!!!! lol
Now can I just add a GREAT BIG THANKS to those who replied positively or at least with understanding to my stategy!!

I'd read the rumblings that there was a forum on a couple of the mega players walls so thought Id take a look - and knowing how much Ive managed to upset one or two players - you guessed it - I searched for my name - and low and behold, there I was being slated by someone who hasn't the comprehension of what being camped on is all about!!
I just wish people wouldn't take this game so personally and stop whining on players walls when they get beat. I took $3K off willy apparently - I lost $72K before I got up!! lol
