can you become a goodfella without paying?

so i was just wondering if it was possible to earn the status of goodfella, like do you become a goodfella automatically after reaching a certain level/number of mafia members or is buying with the gold the only way do get it

As far as I know, no you cannot earn the class Goodfella. But it's not a bad idea, would be a nice incentive too finish a very, very long quest.

so is it worth it to pay for the upgrade? 10% faster refills. i mean i hate waiting for energy and stamina to refill but what does this really get you, 10 seconds on energy and 30 seconds on stamina? i think i can wait 10 seconds. i'm already tycoon

The thing that made it worth it for me was the +10% on defense buildings. Really makes a difference on higher level defense buildings. But I wasn't a Tycoon, so is it worth it for you? Depends on how often you do PVP and PVE missions I suppose.

For an example, every time your stamina fills with +1 out get an extra 3-4 stamina for a short period of time.

I see playing with "perks" as easy mode in this game. I will not play easy mode lol
