They are just needed to complete a few goals (gather X respect). Apart from that they are only useful for buying equipment -- great equipment. :)

After the goal of collecting 2000 respect points there is no reason to hold on to them. They are by far the best currency for weapons.

I know, buying things with respect coins is better than holding on to them, there is no point to hold on to respect coins

Yeh, thts all I do becuz I have like 35 chain whips, 4 exeleros, 3 rgs, 60 sawn off shotguns. So all that makes my attack and defense increase

is chain whip the most expensive one for melee?

There is when you have a challenge. When I first got one, I thought you had to EARN X respect, not stockpile it. Now I have to stockpile 2K. I thought 1K was bad. :(

I have 59K now, I still don't know what to buy, could anyone answer my question about chain whip?

In this 2.0 version, chain whip is strongest melee weapon for R fund. Beside, chain whip is valuable because no strong melee to loot by PvP or PvE.

I agree. the lower 2 melee

1: Columbian knife 11/9 200R
2: Serated Blade 12/18 400R

I Would rather buff my melee out quickly with 100 Columbian knives. Double the cost for just 1 additional att isn't worth it. And I'm not paying double the cost for high defence on a respect item.

3: Chain Whip 25/19 750R - Expensive, but a very nice R weapon and still quicker to farm then the other level 3 R items.

At least until your level 115, These imo are best value:

Guns: None
Melee: Columbian knives and Chain Whips
Armor: Combat boots in very early levels, then load up on masses of Night Vision Goggles
*Vehicles: Yamaha Bikes and Mustangs at Ratio of 2Bikes:1Mustang

Due to few vehicles, many ppl concentrate on equipping their mafia with R vehicles first. Otherwise you will keep getting the screen safing 'Your Mafia Is Weak' Even though it might still be ploughing through things.

Im a level 71 and I have never had the task to collect 2000 respect coins. What level does this come up at?

It doesn't come at a level, it comes after you complete fight missions ahead of it.

Is there any relation to how many R points a player has to how many you get from them if you win a fight?

I've noticed that with cash it seems to be about 10%, as in if you fight and win you get about 10% of any cash on hand the player has.

If the same is true with R points, would it not make sense to spend them as soon as you save up for the item you want?

Respect is a random amount, just like experience.

I like to save mine up until I get to a player I can't rob. Sometimes it just takes that +22 attack from the Sawn-Off Shotgun (360R) to bump the favor into my court. Of course, this is just a little quark of mine. If you know what you are going to spend your Respect points on, then go for it.

A large pointless number would become a small pointless number, and all else would remain unchanged.
