Good Lord that's quick!!!

Thats what you get when you pay for gold, quick build time. Other then the several gold buildings in the beggining (ice cream shop, basketball court, etc..) All gold money buildings are pretty much built in 5 minutes. The earlier buildings I am referring to are built under 5 minutes!

Talking of gold build times, The Agency's I bought are all nearly level 8, and the level 8 upgrade is only 20hours. It does cost $217K but you end up with 463DEF.

This is why I am invested heavily in them.

i did the math. to upgrade to lvl 10, you would need 1.495 million and 101.7 hours. you get 826 defense points (tycoon). compare that to an armor with mostly defense points- riot shield (1/12) costs 32.5K: you need 69 at a cost of 2.24 million to get the same defense stat. obviously, for weapons there is no waiting time. another thing to consider is, the return on investment is far better for the agency, since actual gain in points is lower in the case of weapons as they replace other weapons with lower stats (assuming fully equipped mafia).

does anyone know if the armory or chemical plant are just as good as the agencies? i bought plently of gold, and i'm trying to spend it wisely. if anyone can help that'd be great, just pm me. i'm also having trouble winning robberies with very high defense for my level and mafia, and with good defending buildings. help would be very appreciated :)

They seem to get to about the same amount of defense at level 10, but I believe they are more expensive to do so and have a larger footprint.

Bodyguard Agency is special in that it is a Type A building with a high base, so it ends up being one of the values the game offers.

The Armory costs more, costs more to upgrade, takes longer to upgrade, and ends up with less exp. It does look better tho...

If the Chemical plant and/or municipal police station are class A I would move to either one of them in the later stages of the game or when my income can afford the upgrades.

Glitch involving agencys - Due to the 6x4 (I think) shape of them you can put them next to edge of map correctly, then turn them so they are slightly off the map creating more space - same as abandoned houses.

Its 4x5. The same thing happens with the Fish store. Really helped me out when I was cramped for space. I believe any building that has a footprint like this (Agency 4x5, Fish Store 5x4, Chicken and Waffles 6x5, etc.) has this glitch.

Edit: Fixed quote spacing.

Doesn't always work. Tried rotating some of mine just now and no-go.

Bah! Either they fixed it, or I was just blowing smoke out of my ass. I just tried with the Fish Store, and you have to put it down at the edge of the map, not poking out. Then move again, but don't move it just rotate it. I know for sure that still works.
