Mafia stats help

Does it matter if I have 100 mafia friends that are at level 100 or if they are at level 1?

My question is does their att/def add up to my att/def ? Or it doesnt matter if I have low level friends and only my inventory applies towards att/def.

Only your inventory determines the stats.
The only difference is that you can't rob or attack your friends and won't be robbed by them so, if they are in your level range, stronger friends are a small advantage.
