Joining a mafia?????

Hey guys, just a noob question here. how does the mafia system work. Can I add friends to mine and also join theirs or does it only work one way.

No it only works one way, either you add them or they add you. You'll both be in each others list.

Yeah, it's irrelevant who adds who.
The message "...join their mafia..." is misleading.
Once you have added or they ahve added, you both have one extra mafia to take into battle andwill appear on eachothers friends lists.
