Is there really any benefit from 1 hour buildings

There has been a great debate and argument toward keeping 1 hour building

Here are my point to this argument

Plus
1. hourly income
2. low risk robber rate(unless the lvl is not visible to robbers)
3. no need to sync if its robbed
4. possible to go sleep 6+ hours and find the building wasn't robbed
5. can be upgraded without worrying about syncing it with your other 1 hour buildings

Negatives
1. not being able to collect enough of the income to be a viable investment

this is now my reason to keep
I own 5 buildings paying hourly (2 arcades 1 sports bar 2 adult movie theaters) paying if i remember around $9128 per hour if i am to collect 10 times in 24 hour I'll bank $82k, but I collect and bank more in 24 hour now I own two churches 24 hour cycle paying $105600 if they get robbed about 37% around $39k if the church does get robbed you should collect a while later so the robber don't suss out your 24 hour cycle time. then on average the collection time in a week goes 30 min off so if you work your back at work with phone in your locker waiting for fig to rob your hood clean. i have noticed its very common coming across 24hour and 48hour building waiting to be robbed.
i have also noticed on 3 occasions my alert came that my adult movie has been robbed and they left the 24hour and 48hour building wow i say 1 was a gun shop 1 was a pawn shop and the last 1 a museum which if got robbed would have hurt me more.

Sorry to derail your thread OP back on topic.

Me myself own three 1 hour buildings.
I had the two arcade before but was forced into selling them in need of hood space.
Thought it was a mistake at the time but now looking back it was a wise move.
They only payed out $880 both of them combine plus you take into account the size of the building footprint.

The only reason I don't part with them is now is because at the time upgrading my sports bar seem so expensive because of a useless goal & plus I spent gold on the other two 1h.

Yeah they do come in handy even if you no bank as its still money that most rival don't have any interest of robbing unless it's a rival camping out in your hood.

Must say once I do remember one adult movie got hit once and not a second time plus the other was untouched.
I concluded at a much later date as at the time there was a glitch that wiped out your empire time blank so you had no clue who robbed you or tried robbing you & worst still you message were blank too.
I made the assumption that the rival attacked a building got $1 so not to show on my empire time I got rob $1 he added a bit more to save face.

I brought it because they only cost gold to purchase & I needed help improving my economy.

The adult movie are both on level 2, the two adults plus my level 10 sports bar just make me over $20k which it all I needed ever, if I'm doing events.

So they will stay at level 2 forever, I don't have any reason to upgrade them now.

All about upgrading the 24 & 48 for me.

at level 174, i have a lvl 2 carousel (useless), a lvl 8 sports bar, a lvl 1 mod loft, and a lvl 10 haunted mansion (which cost 8 gold to get to lvl 10, due to gree's error) so i get almost $50K each hour, which is great during events.
i had some other 1 hour bldgs but got rid of them around lvl 120. the carousel is next, gonna replace with a surveil cntr.

so to add to debate, it depends on your lvl the most. lower lvls where cash flow is key, 1 hour bldgs are good. at lvl 100 and above, you have much better $$ makers and 1 hour bldgs can take up space that could be used for a better function.

I don't have a definitive time of collection so can not give a time.

I personally don't like nc I was thinking of selling them, just to me it be more challenging to be a none nc $1m+ iph player.
I'll do that in the future, both are on level 2 so the loss of $4m a day won't hurt at all.

This kind of goes along with this thread, but if I'm wrong would someone let me know or confirm:
If you don't collect a 1 hour building, but are robbed, then the collection time passes to the next hour, you collect the full amount?
The reason, if I couldn't collect the money and someone else can get something, probably doesn't matter ;)
I think I'm seeing this when I collect the HM's, but not really watching that closely, I get a message that I've been robbed, but when I collect I get full collection amounts.

My 2 level 10 haunted mansions give me $74'000 after banking. I don't rob too many people who have a chance of robbing me back, and at level 47, I'm not robbed to often. I collect at least 10 times a day, so they yield at least $740,000 a day. That's more than my collections on 2 level 5 lofts. It's been a game changer for me, and will be a huge help for saving for a NC. When I'm eligible for beach houses, I'll pick those up too.

In short, I wouldn't be too interested in 1 hour buildings outside of beach house and haunted mansion if you're thinking of using it to accrue wealth. Otherwise stick to only the highest 1 hour buildings you can afford, and level them so that the payout per hour is greater or equal to the price of boxes.

Build them if you have the money.
You're on a low level, buying them will get you the income boost you need later in the game & once you don't need them just sell them but don't upgrade them too much.

There is a simple fix, just restart your game and the money be deducted that was lost from the robbery.
No the money don't reset to pay full amount once the time passes greater than the cycle collection.

Well I like to sync 1 hour buildings with my box events... like collecting 1 hour income and then getting some more money some way (worst case from bank) and after that opening a box... That helps me not to put that money into bank at all (and not lose 10% =) though I suppose I would not really win much from not losing couple of thousands... )

Before events happened, I useto hold on to the 1h building cash and buy explosives as I always hated giving the bank the 10% tax.

Them days gold building were rarer to see so I hid my laundro's behind my adult movies.
That ploy got a few catches as they were on my empire time for a good few hours.

It was so relentless the fight cooling period was only 1h so every hour 10 loses as the rival bracket was upto lvl 200.

I've sold them all! Upgraded 2 other buildings to replace the income I lost, and freed up more room!plus if you're in a warring clan, 1 hour buildings just get robbed all the time!

I would of brought some laundromats hide them behind the 1h and once a warring clan got fooled into hitting them.
If they were stronger I would post how foolish they were by hitting the laundro or if they are weaker beat them up.

I cant really speak because i have 2 haunted mansions, but im loving my 1 hour setup right now. Havent really upgraded em all past +5 though and I dont intend to. Been upgrading lofts and movie theaters, once i run out of funds to upgrade them ill start pushing my mansions past 7/8. Sucks i didnt get them in time for the easy lvl 10 upgrade else id be caking.

1 hours are perfect for boss/box events not to mention they keep you reminded of checking your boxes every hour.

I've got rid of three hour buildings as well I have 6 hr buildings(nc,s) but I can't collect them all the time! I might even sell them once I hit 188, that's when I will be robbed relentlessly... Lol

Well this depends on your situation- if you can check in every few hours it worth upgrading. These games are great for killing time so you can tell whether a person cares about the game based on their hood.

I think Gree stuffed something up there. Look at the Beach Nightclub on the spreadsheet and see what it's chain upgrade costs are. Gives us an idea on just how good the HM actually is

I say gree made no mistake by giving free upgrade with the HM.

To them most first time gold purchase happens around level 80 odd, so strictly speaking no gold spender would want to add a new 1h building to their hood.
The best way to do that was to keep upgrade cost low, instead they made it free.
Once the rumors set in that the HM had free upgrade people started purchasing more, so to make as much revenue on the HM they let the promotion go way beyond the deadline date.

The success was so good they even made it possible to purchase 2 from the original idea of limiting it to 1 per hood.

Now the true usefulness in the 1h building is anyone of mid to low income below lvl 100.
If I didn't own the adult movies maybe the HM would of been a good buy to me, but 1h building are so 2011 for me.

I somewhat agree with you Sin. I get 22% of my income with perfect collection from 2 lv 9 HM. So it's probably closer to 10% in reality but its still equal to or better then a lv 9 MT, of which I get very close to perfect collection. I'm lv 14, and have good stats for my lv, 99.5% of robberies attempted on me fail. I'm not saying I can't be beat just that I very rarely get beat. I'm sure once I level up that will change but for now HM are a great investment
