How this happened?

I got attacked by someone named X, when I went to news and click revenge. It says I can't fight someone who is on my friends list. Pretty sure X is already my friend, but in case X deleted me and fought me, so I went to friends list to check. I found X and in case CC didn't update, so I check again 1 hr later, X is still there. So how can my friend attack me?

this is most likely because your "friend" has more than 1000 members in his mafia. in such instances, the PvP algorithm allows players to see their friends in "rival lists". you are in a bit of a bind. you have to either unfriend him or increase your mob to a thousand to get your revenge!
