earlier i was with a syndicate that ranked upwards of 500. i just moved to a top 50 syndicate. should there be a change in my attack/defense score? or will it remain the same?

Totally depends on Synd bonuses.. if both synds are maxed then it will only be effected by Clubhouse i think.
