Robbing Buildings but Getting no Respect

On occasion (not very often), I will rob a building only to be awarded money and XP, but no respect. Normally when this happens, I am able to rob the building a total of 3 times. This is highly annoying, as it causes me to burn 1 extra stamina, and respect is what i am after anyways, not money or XP. What causes this? Can it be prevented? Glitch?

If you've robbed a building twice and you're still able to rob it a 3rd time, don't bother. You'll only get $1 and usually no respect either.

Right, I am aware of that. I want to know how to avoid/prevent it lol. Getting very frickin old.

lol happened to me where I didn't get jack.... no respect pts, no xp and no money..... whacckkk
