Hello,


I want to compile a list of all temps mods that we have received recently that turned out to be useless
(because the event failed, or the date was badly calculated, whatever).
You can help by posting your screenshots below.
I'll adapt the list in the original post.

The goal is of course to ask deca for a better mod for each item (for everybody, not just me).
I think it is more fair for everybody, than just get 1 sorry item for the lot.

I prefer that they remove the time restriction, but Deca has the final decision of course.

Recent items received with useless mods:

Fernando Hitnrun R6 +4 energy regeneration until 01/29:
this could only be enjoyed for maximum of 2 days (when your syn finished Day 4) and there was no LTQ up IMHO.
Fernando Riot Baton +2 Energy regeneration until 01/29:
this could only be enjoyed for a couple of days (when you killed boss 132).
Tijuana Blast Hydrant -10% Empire Health Regen until 01/29:
there was no war during that temp mod.
Diego Killer Van +2 energy regeneration until 01/29:
no LTQ to exploit it.
Diego FBI Vest +4 energy regeneration until 01/29:
no LTQ to exploit it.
Diego TNT +4 energy until 01/22:
my favorite! This could only be won AFTER the end of the temp mod!!!
Theodore Chem Spill +4% influence increase until 01/29:
there was no war during that temp mod.
Teodore Dragon Fire +4% street assault points until 01/22:
first non test SA in january started on 01/26
Teodore Mob V42 +16% influence increase until 01/29:
there was no war during that temp mod.
Teodore Toasted Death +16% Street Assault points until 01/22:
first non test SA in january started on 01/26
Christopher JL-MP5 +12% Street Assault points until 01/08:
first non test SA in january started on 01/26

Also usless if there is no war next weekend:
Gulf Fire Axe -10% Emprire City Health Regen until 02/05
Charoliar Snow Plough +3% influence increase until 02/05

Add in the latest '+2 energy' one which lasts until 29/01, with no LTQ to exploit it.

Come on Deca. All these should be converted to permanent mods of, let's say 50% of the temporary value.

Thanks for keeping this thread up to date gunny. We can use the information in our compensation discussions with DECA once the dust settles. I like the idea of conversion to 50% of full value as permanent.

Winning temp mods was an idea gree started right before they handed responsibility over to deca. The prizes in boss events that are now temp mods used to be significant permanent prizes. Like mafia mods.

Just dump the idea all together and bring back regular prizes for these goals. Most players don’t like working for prizes that expire.

And it’ll save the developers time too. Instead of having to waste time back tracking to correct all these mistakes.

This was a stupid idea off the jump. Going back to regular prizes would be beneficial to both sides.

Agree. I don't think the developers can discern when the temp mods are valuable and when they have no use whatsoever. Go back to regular prizes and permanent mods.

All jan and feb temp mods have received a new enddate April 6.

Hey everyone!

Temporary mods were expiring in January and February were all extended to the April 6th.

Usually temporary mods are adjusted to match different events, but due to the recent cluster of test events, this rule was not always true. This is why we decided to extend all temporary mods so that players can benefit from them during any events running until the end of march.

Hopefully, the situation should be back by then. :)
