WD match ups

My faction is ranked somewhere near 300. We are consistently getting matched with higher ranked factions. We just battled one ranked 6. Yesterday was 10. Most others under 100. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes this happens in reverse too we've had match ups where we get teams in the lower '00s which whilst it's easy points for a larger team it defeats the purpose of wd or even fl seeing as when you face a faction of your own lev l and beat them you feel satisfaction especially if it's been very close throughout

Not sure here bat chief as we have only fought 5 battles so far. They all have been close to our rank of 300-350.

Thanks for your replies giz and WBS. So far, 11 battles and all rivals were heavy hitters. It's all good, we will carry on!

It's not like the issue is new though, I've been in several factions back in the day that would be around 250/300 mark at the end of wd and if you got off well in the event say with 3 wins out of 4 you would find that you got matched up with the big factions of the day the only way you could avoid them was to deliberat my lose a few battles so that the match ups would reset themselves.
Now I don't know if that was a glitch or the game deliberately messing when th your head but it stopped after a while

My faction normally does have a fair amount of losses. This event, we have battled team #6, 17, 20,30,88,99,97,105,118 and 161. It's getting better!

so far our faction rank around 150 still ok.. mostly premium/epci/legendary match, did match against a rank 70 and match against rank 400 team as well.

It's been quite a day. We have since met with factions ranked #2, 43 and 23. Can't explain how much fun it is been, being target practice. Not one legendary, premium and forget about epic. Oh well, all in a day's work. Lol

There is no historical matching up in first WD day and match-ups are wrong.
Match-ups of second day is based on results from first day and they are suitable.
Match-ups of third day is based on results from second day and shall be correct again.

Just get in a groupme matchup room and arrange to fight teams your own rankings like all the top teams do!

Bat chief, you might consider getting in touch with teams at your rank, create a room, or separate rooms for each team. Then work it’s them for legs, etc. it’s what we do at the top. Some will work with you, some won’t.

The issue is that we shouldn't have to create a third party room to get decent match ups. Maybe that's the only way for some?

When you’re at lower levels and seeing so many diff levels in matchups, it only makes sense. This isn’t new. Up to each team, if they want more legs and epics, they will do that. If they want to wait for opportunity to come knocking, good luck. Play the game as smart as you wish.

I'm not knocking third party rooms Speed as they are a great idea for the bonus wars, im simply saying that it should not be necessary. It's an issue that Deca needs to deal with as free didn't care, and maybe Deca doesn't either.

I've gotta agree with Stephen for this one.

I you think about trying to get a Leg match you need to match with a team that is either 4 above or 4 below. And you can only match that same team every 20 hours. So the likelihood that you randomly tap declare within the same few minutes as one of these teams, is quite rare. Now it does branch out a little bit for the epics and premiums, but not by that much .. I'm sure someone has the exact figures.. but i'm guessing about 15 above an below. So given that fact, the game isn't going to wait indefinitely until it gets you a close match.
Also remember at 200+ teams don't always declare back to back. I know i mini faction can come T200 by only playing in about 10 battles.. So you aren't going to match them easily.

So when the matching algorithm fails to match you for Leg, Epic, Prem within 5 minutes .. it widens its search, and it's then that you could end up match a team 100, 200 above or below you


In the past, match times where terrible because it tried for longer to get a good match. It would be different if everyone was still playing all the time.

The only way around this that i could think of is to do something like in CoC (if it still works) .. In theirs you could cancel the declare. Therefore when you tap declare again it looks for the best match. So you could keep repeating that every fews minutes, if you want the longer wait for the better match

Do as many have, just stop declaring. Put an end to wd event. Not enough active groups any more. So match ups will be very uneven.

Matching works in 2nd and 3rd day. You can coordinate matching but you will not be matched in first WD day.
