Hardcore Boss question

I completed the building quest and got the Boost Breaker, 25% Alliance attack and got a substantial bump on my hero attack.

Shouldn't my damage points from killing the hardcore boss increase? Thought that was based on hero attack.

What build quest was that?

Raid boss attack power comes only from your raw unit stats. No bonuses apply to this, not even alliance attack.

It was the upgrading of the 4 buildings to level 15 - Sky Temple, Dark Castle, Overgrown Den and Nomadic Traders. It did boost my Hero Attack, but sounds like the Damage Points are not based on Hero Attack.
