This is Memorial Day Weekend in the United States.
Our Canadian friends had their holiday, last Monday.
Some call it, Victoria Day, others call it, National Patriots Day.

Whatever it may be called, in whatever nation celebrating it, its a day to remember those who gave it all so that you could pursue your dreams, raise your family, live your life.

Whatever you plan to do this weekend, wherever you call home on this little blue marble spinning through the galaxy; take a moment to remember them.

It matters not for whom they fought, they gave it all.

I have a chair on my patio.

The chair always remains empty.

No one sits in the chair, because its my "missing patriot" chair.

It sits conspicuously to my right, the place of honor for the military of the USA.

I salute that empty chair each, and EVERY time I pass it.

I have never forgotten them, all too many, for their supreme sacrifice.

To the patriots that live, thank you for your service.

You did your bit so that all people could live as free people.
