Jewel Chests finnaly got me

I've been buying jewel chests pretty much since they came out. Always managed to get a little something. Well last night the chest finally got me. Not one single Legendary. Not even a tier 1. So I'm hanging up my jewel chest buying for the immediate future.

The add says 5X chance at getting a Legendary jewel but what they don't tell you is super rare jewels 90X and ultra rare jewels 60X. Next to that 5X for Legendary Jewels you might not see one at all for 52 chests. :(

What Gree is doing is effectively turn people away from investing in them.

I have opened chests on a quite regular basis when you would at least get a guaranteed (relatively good) Epic+ when opening 40 (iirc) chests,
but getting no guaranteed stuff and a ridiculously low chance of getting ANYTHING of value has many people try it for a few times, but then turning away from them angrily. And fully justified so, imo. It's bad enough that chest rewards are inferior to war rewards that are cheaper.

Well they lost this customer on chests unless they bring back the 40% Flash Sales on the regular or the Holiday Pack. They couldn't have asked me in a nastier way to stop buying chests. :(

Well, at least you've been getting 4* jewelry.
Nearly every special jewel chest I've been opening a set of 11 if one of my alts had the gems for it and each time 9-11 2* and 0-2 3* for me...

From what i read in other social media channels, the running 'how to' advice from experienced, long-term players is to absolutely avoid buying chests and to join war/stripping event 'runs' (win buying) instead. Quote: 'Only noobs buy chests.'

There seems to be much truth in that. An additional matter-of-fact argument is that war (stripping contest) armor is cheaper and stronger, while the super-expensive chest armor is weaker. True dat!

Not sure if it is in Gree's interest to have customers come to this conclusion and have them advise others to avoid opening chests (you can even often read it on Google Play now!) ...lol... , but I can just agree that I won't buy anything until chances have been significantly improved, guaranteed armors return (why was that even taken away from opening 40+ chests?!!) and/or there are 40% sales / holiday packs again. Any other decision would be a stupid one.

so... for a blip period of time earlier this evening, the purple and orange keys were opening **** level rings and amulets... was that some bug?

So to get a full set of armor + bling, you need to open different types of chest I guess... -_-

Enchanted Chests (Gold Keys) now have all three tiers of Ultra Rare bling. Just pulled a Wicked Pillars. :D

Just got both the set jewels and a high tier legendary Ring from the purple key chests........ Now I don't feel so bad. Apparently they've added a lot of new stuff to the Dark Prince Chest. :D

21 DPC keys:

- Hunting Spire of Endurance (4* amulet)
- 2x Heroic Blossom (4* set ring)

highlights from about 300 enchanted keys:
4* rings:
- 4x Heroic Blossom

- Violent Crossbar
- Violent Pairing
- Plated Pairing of Bravery
- Shining Ridge of Iron
- Stinging Pairing of Grace

4* amulets:
- Heroic Stipule
- Plated Heirloom of Youth
- Robust Focus of Youth
- Sturdy Spire of Majesty
- Glorious Heirloom of Endurance


I was saving gems to farm the milestones of a war for 4* bling, but except for boost bling, these chest seem better results and less effort, so decided spend my gems to open 52 DPC:

4* rings:
- 2x Heroic Blossom
- Sturdy Pedestal of Power

4* amulets:
- 2x Heroic Stipule



Kind of seems like I got about 5% drop rate for 4* bling from enchanted chest and about 10% from DPC, so for both about 80 gems per piece of 4* bling...
(of course the sample size is 1 person and just a few chests. ;) )

You're on to something. The exclusive jewel chest is about to release something big...... otherwise putting all the other jewels in the Enchanted and Dark Prince Chests makes no sense. Something big is about to happen.

At first we thought of it to be a bug, an mistake on GREE's part.
Also because the ad only says something about set bling, not all the other good stuff.

On the other hand, if it was like that they probably would have fixed it by now.
Fact is, all the precious bling i got in wars up until now has lost most of its value with this move.

Just check the r&a chest in game. It shows epic rings and amulets as possible rewards.

There's one up right now. Everyone buying chests lured me into buying 24 and I got two epic rings and some high tier 4* jewelry. Looks like I'm not buying these chests for another 6 months or so. :~)

I got 2 epics in 96 chests, one ring and one amulet, and not even great ones.

Disappointed as always. Yet still I succumb to the temptation in all knowledge that Gree will soon release them as linked jewels and will blow the rest out of the water anyway.

I did so well in my 52 chest pull I really should wait a couple weeks before trying for more. Did a little birdy tell you that about the linked jewels? I know you got good connections so if you have it on good authority that this is coming then I'll wait until then.

At the end of the day, more help to gradually 'fade out' of the game.

I disagree, even one epic bling is a huge win considering their stats and as usual the weaker accounts seem to pull tons of these shinies.

Almost everyone I know who has opened 11+ chests has gotten at least one of the epic bling. I pulled two epic rings in 24 chests.

once everyone has 'pulled tons of these shinies' (talk about 1-2 months give or take), the 'advantage' will be gone and everyone will have leveled up.
I'll (ab)use them (better: not even trying to get them) for withdrawal. :)
