In an ideal greeworld that would be the case, sadly it's far from an ideal greeworld with many older IOS devices locked out because of their inability to run newer releases of MW. Of course Apple isn't totally blameless as it also orphans devices by no longer providing OS updates.....

Upgraded to iOS 9 last night and MW worked then and earlier this morning. But, now after 8:30am EST all of sudden it won't connect. Just get the 1st screen, but now words that it's even trying to connect to the servers. I've restarted phone, uninstalled and reinstalled game, tried on wifi network and 3G network (4s phone). :mad:

As suspected the release version of IOS 9 does not work however all IOS compatible devices in our group also stopped loading MW after the last server push and are locked out.

All other apps work fine, my guess, the 'fix' used to solve the airplane mode glitch is the root cause of this issue since I also suspected for a while that it is also the cause of the server disconnect issues which are also still happening.

So bottom line do not upgrade to IOS 9 as nothing up to our iPhone 6s no longer work! If you are on an iPhone 5 do not upgrade to IOS 9 as there is still a known issue with this phone.

If you have an Android device floating around now would be a very good time to link to it....

All of our iPhones and iPads fail to load MW, same issue we have seen in the past when we get a new IOS. I don't have a 5th gen iPod in the office at the moment but my guess since it is based on the iPhone 5 is that it will not work.

I never installed iOS beta just regular update. My build says 5.2.1 on both iPad Air 2 and iPad 3. Both do same thing, load splash screen and then crash. The iPad 3 worked for awhile last night and then app crashed and won't run, air 2 never worked after installing iOS 9. Have never used game centre so nothing to sign out. Still getting pushes on iPad 3 about being raided nothing from air 2

I have iOS 9.1. iPhone 6+. doesn't work. tried suggestion earlier & no help. On a side note, the game is basically useless on my iPad 2 now as well. I still had 90 deploys pending after 8 minutes. What a waste.

Ban me if you want, but get your act together. Are you trying to get people to quit? You invoke a significant amount of frustration into our lives with your constant screw ups. Events never start on time, your game doesn't work as designed, you have the only app across all of my iOS devices that isn't apparently supported with iOS 9. Get with the program here. What is supposed to be recreation is nothing but pure frustration. I've been playing over 3 years and lately this game has been predictably awful.

I understand what I just said won't help solve this problem, but you need to understand that you are creating a terrible user experience. Test your stuff on your own time, not mine.

I got locked out when switching accounts. Others have had the same issue. That is probably why some are impacted and not others. Part of the temporary solution that seems to be benefiting some is to remove the game and what is stored in Game Center, sign out of Game Center and reinstall game.

Seems to me there is an issue interfacing with Game Center &/or how your manage multiple accounts on one device. At least from the specifics I've seen posted from people who are locked out.

This is a Gree issue and not Apple issue. After updating to iOS 9 I was able to play all my games. Today gree decided to push out some sort of game update, after this update, I can't open my game anymore. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. I was able to log in a few times after iOS9 update, after a few hours no chance anymore. Crime City worked for a few hours longer, now I'm locked out there as well. Can't imagine it has something to do with switching accounts cause I'm running only 1 account in cc.

Perhaps you should be looking at the devices that work and those that don't as a starting point. Our iPhone 6s no longer can log into MW but all other apps both release and beta run. None of the other working apps are from gree in case you were wondering.

This feels very very familier to when the last time we all got locked out so hopefully there is someone left in dev that has been there longer then a year as they might remember how it was sorted out last time.... Makes me wonder if it's an incompatibility with the way MW handles multiple player accounts on a single GC account, er wait a sec is it possible that MW is not logging into GC when booted so it fails and freezes since the GC data is not found. And could this also be the root of the server disconnection issues.....

These log in issues started up at the same time that you guys tried to block the airplane mode glitch so perhaps you might want to look at what you changed back then. It seemed that funzio made the app fairly autonomous to reduce server useage but in doing so opened up the airplane mode glitch. By modifying how the app verified it's data it seems this can of worms opened up.

Devices still on IOS 8 are working so far but now my concern is that fixing MW for IOS 9 will break those on IOS 8...

I have 2 devices iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5S

I installed it first on the iPad and it work fine after using for a few hours I installed it on my iPhone as well. At first it worked fine on both until it stopped working on the iPad. It continued to work on iPhone.

I tried many uninstalls and reinstalls without success. The only thing that worked was to reinstall the app using iTunes on my computer.

A day later it stopped working on my iPhone and I had to reinstall using iTunes on my laptop to get it working again.

It has now stopped working again on my iPad so I will be doing the same again.

My workaround is to
1) connect device to computer using cable.
2) Open iTunes and make sure app is on computer and up-to-date if not update
3) Using iTunes remove app from device and sync
4) Using itunes install app onto device and sync again
5) Play game until it stops working again the repeat

Not only doesn't MW work with ios9 but also iOS users haven't been able to collect free gold via videos for weeks which puts us at a disadvantage. I'm wondering whether this weekend of being MW free will last permanently and maybe I won't return to MW as I'm quite enjoying being free and not having to worry about checking to collect money, war etc.

2-wait 1h
3-install the game

You will be able to connect about 10 times then it will lock again you will need to do step 1-2-3 again

I got a iphone 5 and it worked 3/3

Because of grees history of their "fixes" making things worse.

Many in my faction have done the update and it works fine on their ios9 devices.

I never updated to iOS9, so I'm not doing the update.

I'd only do it if I was locked out or using a workaround from having iOS9.

Happy to see the fix is working!

iOS version 7.1.2 here. Problem free for a long time.

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 9 and was using one of the work around solutions to connect to game. I installed the new MW fix from the App Store yesterday afternoon and all has been great! No more connection issues whatsoever and nothing else seems to have been broken. So, with the speed of the fix AND its stability this time I'm assuming either consultant developers or Apple developers came up with the solution for Gree. Either way it's the first time you can count on installing an MW fix and it actually working!
