View Full Version : Get your film taste rated here

The Movie Critic

As a film genius/expert my rating will be indisputable. I will rate objectively rather than based on my own personal taste. The rating system goes: Rock hard > Erect > Semi > Flaccid > Dysfunctional > OBESE

To get your taste rated please post your top 10 movies and top 10 film directors. You don't have to do both however it will provide a more accurate rating.

NOTE: Please limit your lists to one movie per director. Fanboyism will not be tolerated here and will result in an automatic OBESE rating.

Face Off was really stupid. I stopped watching 30 minutes in. I liked Heat, an all star cast to be sure, but is was the beginning on the Al Pacino grossly overacting stage, which dropped it out for me.

And while I love most the Marvel movies, I don't rank them as classics. They are just fun, not classics. The last Avengers was more like a Transformers movie, and I don't see a Captain America/Tony Stark feud gaining traction.

There's several on your list I could have included but didn't because I haven't seen them. Shocking I know, but finding a couple of hours to watch a film without some wretched interruption is tough for me :(

Add in Godzilla (the original Japanese version, not the curious melange put together for American audiences, and definitely not the terrible remake) and the proper Michael Caine "Get Carter" to my honourables. More to come on that.

While Chuck Norris is a bit of a modern legend, I saw a good number of his movies in theaters, and they really weren't that good. Anyone who nominates any Chuck Norris film over Enter the Dragon should have their SAG card revoked. A Fistful of Yen, the Bruce Lee spoof segment in Kentucky Fried Movie was better than any Chuck Norris film.

Which no fun dipsh*t mod moved this to off topic? No particular order:
Deliverance
Slingblade
Outlaw Josey Wales
True Grit (w/John Wayne)
The Devil's Rejects
Tombstone
Caddyshack
The Dirty Dozen
Rambo First Blood
Pulp Fiction

(Almost seems un-American to not have a Chuck Norris movie in there)
So honorable mention Missing in Action. Also Jaws, Smokey and the Bandit, and The Ghost and the Darkness are worth mentioning.

HavingFun, you are Semi.

Dippy is way closer. His acting was horrible but consistent. We saw a few of his movies back then also and my brothers and I loved them. Heck my mom even adored him. I couldn't put him in the top ten but was worth mentioning.

Yes, he is worth mentioning as a guy who made martial arts movies that were about half as good as Bruce Lee's.

Troll 2 is my favorite movie of all time. Hands down best movie ever made.

It should be a nominee for best actors and best director.

Is there an award for best makeup/costumes? It should get that too

I don't like any Bruce Lee movies or any movie that is based purely on martial arts so how could I put him in my list Lol you do understand that the OP asked for our individual favorite movies, not guess what Max Power's favorite movies are.

Lmao. Alright so we can both agree it's an absolutely horrible movie . We quote lines from it all the time because of how bad it was.

Did you know NILBOG is GOBLIN spelled backwards?

And what movies made my list dysfunctional?
