I know I saw and posted to a thread that stated this earlier this afternoon, now I don't see it, nor see my post to it. Obviously deleted, but why? Was this some secret that got posted by accident?

I was thinking the same. Gree is always being secret.

It was a troll thread by 1Shot who lost his moderator job after throwing a hissy fit when GREE stopped paying him 240 gold/mo.

That 240 gold must have been breaking them.

Thank you. I can't say what I did when I learned of your revelation, but crying wasn't involved. LOL

are none of the mod getting their 240 gold (or equiv) anymore?

Hmm, four, let's call it 10 mods at 240 gold equals 2,400 gold each month.
Stop giving away the mellow, yellow product a savings of 2,400 gold can immediately be realized.
Why, that's about $110/month in real coin, plus saleable product.
No gold for you.

I speculate our former CMs had everything to do with the "volunteer" player moderators getting paid.
They're gone, pay gone; hissy fit, mod gone. Only 2 left.

Did the player mods get paid from the beginning of the program or was it an afterthought, requested later?

HellRaizer

Yeah we got paid 240 per month after the first successful month (or equiv in other games). We would normally chat to Clem on the "Slack" app, if it was forgotten.. So i assume she would tap someone on the shoulder..

In fairness 240, was really nothing special, when you think how little it can get. When I killed off my HLP and was still mod, I didn't even bother asking them to top up my mini...

edit: wasn't an afterthought

Yeah, 240 isn't much, but it's definitly better than nothing.

The program thread never mentions getting paid. I thought it was completely voluntary until recent events: Clementine wanted us to believe it was all voluntary from reading her posts in response to our reservations about the program being good for the forums. Hindsight is 20/20.

I respectfully beg to differ about the program being successful in any way at any time, especially in the Crime City forums. Over-moderation is a terrible thing, but the catty drama they created was hilarious! The MW forums were generally ignored and spared from their wrath.

Lol. If MW was ignored, I'd hate to see how bad CC was. Oi vey.

yeah, i took a different tactic than the others.. 1. Killed off true troll threads.. i.e. outright swearing and naming calling from the offset, 2. spam and 3. then mostly kept raising community issues with Clem and Relic.. I wouldn't get involved in anything else, because that meant siding sides of some sort .. i know the others tried to get involved in touchy topics which would always create tension... i think that while i was around, because i was the "MW" guy the others generally didn't need to even look at the MW stuff.. i in turn didn't really get involved with CC or KA..

lets face it thou, all the forums need are Gree employees actually experienced from the player point of view of the games to be able to assist.

haha, exactly! It was really bad and so completely unnecessary.

Just as the chair was entertaining nominations for forum president, you were nominated from the floor.

I voted for you.

Yup, or just plain bad/misinformation which typically made bad situations worse. You have been the only PM that did a great job and it was a huge loss when you quit. Albeit I see why and I would have as well.
