Thought it had to do with near-equal avatar levels, not near-equal stats...

if you are in the same level region, it doesn't matter a single thing what your stats difference is

Based on level and number of allies. I believe level is within 15 and allies ~25 or so... but it's weird...

I have 510 allies and mostly I can see players around 499-523 allies but if you have 499 allies, I can sometimes see players with 350+ allies. Maybe there's a bracket or something...

If you and him have 525 allies, drop yourself to 499. He will have a very hard time finding you, unless you attacked him and you got on his news feed.

And yes, what the other guy said. Collect your stuff so there is nothing to raid.

Battle list is based on level of player. I usually see 30 levels up and down
