What is "Silvan Ash" and where do I find it in my inventory?

I just won some Silvan Ash while defeating the EB. Oh boy!

Now, what is it good for and how do I find it in my inventory?

Is it a crafting material? Is it part of a "collect all" for a wrapper prize or something?

Do I put it on the fireplace mantle and secretly smile to myself while admiring my spoils?

But you need the wrapper for units for master slayer - what makes no sense what so ever

I like the Collect-10; I feel like I have a tiny chance of getting 9/10, but the other kind of box event sucks even with the EB dropping box items. :p

Yeah, I see it and totally disagree with it tbh... I love these chests, since they contain 6- and 7-figure units as rewards, not to mention that they're the only place we can truly upgrade our equipment...

Now, _crates_ on the other hand, they really stink and no one can use them.
