Advice on box event needed

Hello community, my question is simple, should I spend gold on the timer of the event and then open with cash the boxes or should I wait for the hours to pass and then gold open the boxes. Which is better?

Neither. Box events are set up to decrease the liklihood of successful openings and openings that give the weapon you need in direct proportion to the time remaining on the clock. As time gets short your chances of completing decrease. I'd call the last 36 hours the "Nope Zone".

If you must waste your RW$, most say let the time reset naturally and use gold to open.

The customers that I know who usually finish all box events say that they use gold for both resets and opens during the first hour or the last hour of the box event.

Well, they think they have better luck during the first or last hour.

IOW, they speculate the items have better drop rates during those times.

Unless you are South of the equator. Then you have to reverse directions of rotation.

As an example of the 1st hour, I spent 300 gold in the first 5 min and got all 10/10 and 8/8 completed. I use gold only to reset timer and cash to open. My stats went up by 300 m. In hindsight, I should have saved the 300 gold, added 1200 more and I could have now bought a nice 150k attack ATV from the hot off the truck sale!

Yeah it sure feels like the chances get lower and lower. Two box events ago, I opened my last box on the last hour and finished my 10/10. As for now I'm stuck on 9/10.

Forget the box event.

There is a hot off the truck deal where you could get two, count 'em two! Bikes that are 150KATT/100KDEF.

They are on sale right now for 1.5K gold apiece, but because it's such a good deal you can only buy two of those babies, so act fast!

That will be 3000 gold, and no I am not joking. I should be joking, and I wish I were joking, but nope, I am not joking.

So just drop 3K gold on two of those bikes and forget this case event ever happened.

It's the right thing to do.

Pablo, most of these jokers are joking. Personally after one desperate and expensive experience recently, I went back to my original philosophy: when I can open one, I try for free, unless I happen to have enough cash on hand, then I go with the Rusty Scissors option- never gold unless I hit it by mistake in the huger than huge adrenalin rush I get from CC.
I went gold once on boxes. If ur gonna do it, u may as well do both reset and open (and open sometimes gives some lame butt prize u aren't looking for). Opening for free (or CC Cash) after spending 15 gold for the choice is, well, in retrospect, kind of stupid. Good luck!

Even if you don't finish, at 1m stats per item, you mind as well. Take advantage of the inflation while it's ahead

Uhh there's players out there farming this box event with 50+ vaults, just continuously opening and resetting feverishly for hours getting 1,000,000+ attack items every 10 seconds LOL

I rarely speak ill of gold spenders but those people are idiots. i imagine Germany after WWI where most people are using Deutschmarks as toilet paper and that one guy is running around working his ass off to accumulate them and get "rich." Congrats... You're a trillionaire. You have literally turned the game into an exercise of burning real money as fast as you can, and you haven't yet realized that the next round of inflation will mean everyone catches up to you again anyway.

It will be funny in 3 months when a box event will have prize items with an average of 100,000,000,000 in stats! The same people will drop 50-100 more vaults to farm it like crazy. I think they've found a new cash cow there at GREE, forget wars or SA, box events are the big money makers.
