Why are there 400-700k drops falling when not on drop screen of loot

Lowest random unit is 1mil plus and I have gotten 2-3 400-700k units as a random drop after killing a boss. WHAT IS THIS GREE. Doubt you will answer though

The old rewards were from the last EB. Look at the possible prizes again. They've changed.
Maybe you should exit the game first

This is exactly what I can't believe, but they do it all the time. Why, why would you give such an arbitrary advantage to someone and make it unavailable for someone else that comes along a couple of hours later on a _7 day_ event? 29 bosses, what is that, like 50m I'm not eligible for?
