[Player Appreciation Month] Design An Epic Boss

If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at designing a character for a game, now’s your chance! We are holding a “Design an Epic Boss” Contest! Create a unique character worthy of battling in Knights and Dragons! The winning submission will be used to create an Epic Boss that will appear in the game!

Ten finalist entries will be chosen by the Community Management, Social Media, and Game Development Teams. The final winner will be determined by community vote!

He is a Spirit/Air boss and either drops Mothman Feathers or the Mothman Spearhead. For a back story you can use as a quest, Mothman appears outside the kingdom but no one knows why. It turns out the Dark Prince is plotting and terrorizing the kingdom and everyone is blaming it on the Mothman, the hero must ask around in the arena for more clues and fight the Mothman for answers. The armor would be Vesture of Warning and would be almost solid black with the red eyes and that spear turned into an axe. Thanks and enjoy!

It is a Spirit/Fire boss and it's special attack sends a raining flurry of fireballs from the sky. The boss's effect is smoke coming out of its mouth and it floating and bobbing up and down. It drops Cursed Wisps (The flame inside of it). For a story that you can use for questing, Morgan and Gwen are having one of their usual spats. Gwen gets so frustrated she accidentally sends a spell flying at Morgan who dodges it. It strikes a lamp hanging up around the arena (which was hanging for a special festival). It is an air/earth epic boss with a wood looking under design and a feather head dress look to it the ying-yang dragon has wood chip partical design falling from the stomach area on the ground! During a regular attack it swipes players with its clays but during its special attack it shoots wood slivers at the players as if it where breathing fire!

Born of fire yet thriving in the deepest depths of the sea what could have drawn such a creature from such a depth. In the downfall of the dark Prince many evils are coming to reclaim the land for there own and only time will tell who or what will concur over all.

Beware The Salatorc with razor teeth, claws, and spiked tentacles not only will he slice, puncture and bite but he is surrounded by an aura of blazing blue flames that grow with his anger.

The Dark Prince has grown restless that the monsters he send are unable to finish the job. Using his powerful dark magic, he forges and creates a monster in his likeness to mercilessly ravage the kingdom. The knights will never know what hit them, and they'll never know how to hit it. It is an unstoppable death machine with the power to kill.

The Dark Prince had tasked his potion masters to create a concoction to turn even the most noble knight into his servant. Time and time again, they have failed. All of their failed potions have been dumped into the thistle patch behind the castle. Due to so many potions mixing, the thistle came to life, forming into a demonic plant in the form of a man. His razor sharp thorns adorn his armor and the vines he uses as weapons against these mighty knights. His eyes glow a deep shade of purple, same as the thorns. His armor is primarily made up of greens and browns with accents of purple and gold. The vines he uses as whips have the head of a mace. Knights can collect his poison tipped thorns in order to craft his armor (which looks much like his own). The armor available to be crafted will be called Thistle Demongear.

For my last entry, I submit to you the Jikininki. I tried to stick as close as possible to the Green Gaki but gave it the name of a human shaped Japanese spirit. I changed the exposed muscle on the back to rocks, gave it spurs and a straight tail, and reversed the color scheme. The picture below is only one of two colors that I chose. This one is Green with brown rocks, the other one would be black with purple gems. (I just added the alternate color.)

So for a questing backstory. The Jikininki used to be abundant in the mountians near the kingdom. The people admired their appearance and grace and painted pictures, wrote poems, and even made statues of them. Then one day one was injured and stumbled into the kingdom before dying. A young man and newcomer to the kingdom found a stone broken off from its back (gem if it's the black one) and was able to craft something out of it. The stones were pure and extremely lightweight and became known as Air Stones (If you go with the black one, the young man found one of the gems and made a price of jewelry out of it. The gems were extremely compact and pure and became known as Pure Quartz.) That young man became the first Jikininki hunter. First they were hunted for their resources, then for sport, then out of fear when the Jikininki became hostile. One day the young man was bringing back a dead one to the kingdom when they were pronounced extinct. The kingdom's society went into turmoil for a period and everyone became sorry that they had hunted the Jikininki. Finally the kingdom fell apart and everyone split up. Little did they know that there was one Jikininki left. He hid out deep in the mountains, he was more intelligent than most. He trained hard so he could exact revenge on the hunters and even learned a small amount of the human language. He grew to an incredible size and finally started his search. The hunted became the hunter. He eliminated every Jikininki hunter except one. Finally he shows up outside the Hero's kingdom. Everyone is trying to figure out who the hunter is so you have to go to the arena and ask around. Finally Lance confesses that he was the young man, he learned how to fuse by using Air Stones (Pure Quartz). He is sorry for killing off the Jikininki and asks if you can try to convey that to the beast outside the kingdom. After defeating it he realizes that Lance is sincerely sorry and ends his rampage. But before he leaves he challenges you to a rematch.
So his elements would be Air/Earth (Earth/Spirit or Earth/Air for the black one). His special attack would be him darting past you really fast and a rock explosion (gem for black). He would drop the Air Stone (Pure Quartz) and I haven't decided what the craftable armor would be. I'll probably leave that up to Gree. He is more of an attack monster than defense. I would like to know if people would rather see the Green or the Black one? Gree can choose Green or Black, or they could use both, if that's possible? (This is my favorite of my entries and I know Gree could make this one amazing!)

Description:


The Dragon Jin-shu is one of the Elder Dragon Gods that ruled millions of years before the Dark Lord's reign on Earthrealm. He was resurrected by the whispers of pain and death of those innocent who met their doom by the Dark Lord and Prince forces. However, in order to do so, he would challenge any brave knight in order to see if the world needs to be rescued or doomed. Those who will succeed will receive a powerful mystical copy of his armor, giving them the strength they need to cleanse the lands of the evil. He possesses the Starmetal element, making him a fierce opponent to his enemies.



Information for GREE:


The Epic Armor will be the designed armor that I removed from the Dragonforged Contest due to some...personal reasons. The Epic Boss concept will be something similar, but with an angelic style. This armor will be A DUAL SWORD, not a Shield/Sword type. (And if you guys need a shield, contact me , don't create a shield by your own). The auras will be something similar to the Phoenix Ward, to the swords and body ( and if it's possible, the eyes as well )

Looks:the bottom of the dragon has a wood design through it almost like planks. The scales on the dragon are bark look the dragons face is made out of wood like a tiki mask so that we can have the earth element in it! The head dress and tail have feathers to give it a touch of air! The partials that fall of the boss will be earth to give it an earth quake textur as if rocks falling down a cliff. It will have the same parttical texture as tectnic platmail!

Attack: regular attack/ the boss will swing it's claws and shot slivers of wood...
Attack: special attack/ the bosses special attack will breath a tornado of air almost like fire but a furious gust of wind...

I had a discussion on Facebook of why the final result of my Darkscale had a shield rather than two swords. The funny part is that they haven't told me of this little part, they only told me that their team decided to make it like this as well of not contacting me to design a shield for it... Two swords are far more better than the classic shield/sword!

I had a discussion on Facebook of why the final result of my Darkscale had a shield rather than two swords. The funny part is that they haven't told me of this little part, they only told me that their team decided to make it like this as well of not contacting me to design a shield for it... Two swords are far more better than the classic shield/sword!

My epic boss is called the Plated Eervern. It's story is found on the image, but here's the short version...

It is commonly found scuttling through the woods attracted by sounds of the weakened and defenseless. The plates that line its body are also connected to its mandibles so as it opens and closes its strong jaw, the plates will rise and fall respectively. It is strong enough to break solid rock, and easily chop knights in half.

It would be a mono earth creature.

The Dragon Jin-shu is one of the Elder Dragon Gods that ruled millions of years before the Dark Lord's reign on Earthrealm. The Epic Armor will be the designed armor that I removed from the Dragonforged Contest due to some...personal reasons. The Epic Boss concept will be something similar, but with an angelic style. This armor will be A DUAL SWORD, not a Shield/Sword type. (And if you guys need a shield, contact me , don't create a shield by your own). The auras will be something similar to the Phoenix Ward, to the swords and body ( and if it's possible, the eyes as well )

Backstory :
A long time ago there were'nt only Phyrus, Notus, Boreas and Eurus. There was the fifth ancient dragon, the most ferocious one, Caecius; The despicable northeastern wind's explosive dragon. And after the fallen of the four ancient dragons, Caecius has arrived to knight's kingdom after an eternal sleep not to avenge them but to terrorize the world. He has a power of explosion due to his ability to project hidrogen (air) and fire.
He dropped napalm scale when defeated, and can be used to craft Armor of Caecius/Spitfire Dragongear
