Is it not easy enough for them to score points?

OK. We are a guild hovering the 60s and we just got FIB and Dragon Warriors back to back (#1 and #6) this seems highly unusual to me. Anyone else getting weird matchups?

I honestly do not believe that is impossible. Imagine two guilds are paired every minute, then 120 guilds are matched in an hour. Take into account that we are not "supposed" to be paired more than three times during a three-day war and not every guild is active. There are other factors as well, but our guild hovers around 75 and war happens.
Battle on! Use free hits and be ready to go right away.

I see nothing wrong with the Top5 being matched with Top100 & above.

The Seattle Seahawks could play the Sisters of Mary, but I can't imagine it would be much fun for anyone involved. Aren't games supposed to be fun?

Our natchups have been weird -
We are around 200 -
We've gotten teams at 250 ( which is 250 k points difference :
We have also gotten h€LLS Fire 108 last cok and fun of Valhalla - ( 135??last cok )
It was bad luck we got them both during a streak - but we fought them hard -
The strangest matchup was against a 1 person guild - his a/d was 5.8 b /2.9 b he didn't fight , we scored 6 k and won
Suck it up. We all get bad matches. Nobody wants to get the #1 team. If you are that worried about it, watch the leaderboard and hold your declares like everyone else.

We all get the underdog, some more than others.
All teams have to match with someone, Gree has done a lot of work to even it out, but fact will always remain they have to match with someone. And fighting the same 25 teams would end up being boring.(if going by stats alone on matches)
Make no doubt we get them too every war, all we do is simply declar It a no attack war, hit their castle twice, and go regen and declar again in an hour. Free hour to go for coffee or whatever.

Understand that many of the top teams actively try to avoid each other. This may include tracking (seeing if the top teams you want to avoid move) or through chat rooms. This of course does not always work, but it does mean that the pool of matches for high level teams may dip down further into the lower level teams.
As many have said, this is war, and they do say that all's fair in love and war...

So why exactly did you feel the need to add your immensily important opinion to a topic which hasn't been posted in for a month?
Perhaps a new topic when you want to add something new to stuff like this (one for each war basicly) seems easier to follow up and distinguish the info :)

Freemium games are suppose to be BARELY fun. If it was too fun, then there would not be a reason for people to pay to make it more fun!

We finished 195 last war with 25 players - we merged so now we have 50 players : our matchups so far have been with all teams higher - the closest team finished 35 places higher :,we are 5-3 in 109 th place so I guess all is well .

I don't know if the top guilds still do this, but it sure seems like they do. My guild, which generally ranks around 75, faces a disproportionate number of top ten teams.
I know that as a mostly free player I need the big gemmers to spend money and therefore keep the game alive. But do the top guilds and big gemmers also realize they need us free players to make a large and dynamic game community? Without us "little guys" to dominate you're all just spending a lot of money against each other. What'd be the point?
I will say that we had a few less wars against top ten teams than last cycle, but it was still disproportionate. If the top guilds have already discontinued the practice of avoiding each other, thank you. If not, I hope you at least consider these thoughts. It's disheartening to face guild after guild in battle where your only option is hitting the castle. It's no fun and I believe it's costing us good free players everyday.
Thanks for hearing me out.

We were at place 161 when matched with RKSB. That's how it works. Suck it up and save your health for next war.

It is better for the top guilds to be paired up than to be sitting around for and hour waiting for a more even match-up.
Look back to the old days when the top guilds were having to sit for up to an hour and 20 mins after declaration.
They pay for a service so it's only right that they get the match up. If you're the unlucky one to get them then that's just too bad. In war you don't get to test the strength of your opponent before you meet them in battle. Just fight as hard as you can.

I think my point has been missed. It's not a problem if a weak guild occasionally gets matched with a strong guild. As others have brought up, it has to happen sometimes. For me the problem lies with the strongest of guilds purposely dodging each other. Of course that's their prerogative, but they should realize its effects on the play of the weaker guilds in the long term. Another option it would be nice for the stronger guilds to consider would be to have a weak mini on their roster during war so that when the #77 guild catches the #4 guild, or something like that, at least the weak guild would have someone to hit and still get to have a little fun.
