Apparently forum code of conduct was updated as this was a post from a mod on a faction recruitment thread...

I just want to let you guys know that 'bumping' threads aren't allowed anymore. (From the new Code of Conduct) Try to come up with something constructive that helps advertise your faction in order to push the thread up.

Im not trying to be negative, but I just don't understand what the big deal is for bumping your recruitment thread. Why is this all of a sudden something that needs to be looked at.

Yeah, bumping recruitment threads is such a horrible, horrible thing for someone to do and has such negative effects on the forum. But it makes someone feel important when they can enforce such a rule.

Yea this could be kind of annoying but honestly instead of simply "bumping" just say something like "hey join our faction " :)
