I made a thread here a while back when I changed around all my accomplices. In my sig, it was all about balance, but I went nuts on one of the stats and discussed how I think it improved my gaming experience.

Everyone should go in and muck around with their accomplices if they can. Really take your time with it and do what you think is best.

I'm about to quit the game and spent $$$ on something you removed days later and I haven't been able to use them since. My accomplices are in perfect condition, you can get them back and resell them to someone else who want them, no problem. But I want my gold back. This is the way to go at this point Gree.

Honestly, why would they say anything otherwise?

This "freemium" business model that app based gaming companies use (not just Gree) has been a real eye opener in the 5 or so short years these things have become popular. We have seen money wasted on games that shut down (all the money is wasted, actually), people spending more in a month than an entire home system would cost just for temporary bragging rights, clear cases on gambling addiction and to be charitable, many many cases of OCB. I think millions of people have learned their lesson.

I also think suggesting that a temporary failed strategy such as the Accomplice program means the game will be shutting down is not very well thought out. That is a knee jerk reaction and shows about as little thought as the Accomplice program did in the first place. The game will shut down when people quit spending enough to support it, same as any other business, not because their designers created an idiotic element to the game. Given how often events happen in this game (does anybody even attack or rob anymore?), we will know about the shutdown long before they officially announce it.

Read the TOS. Gree can do whatever they want at any time, and you agree to and accept that every time you login to any of their games.

It's also worth noting that with all freemium games, not just Gree games, you are paying for the product as is when you make an in-app purchase. In other words, you bought gold because you wanted gold. There is no guaranteed benefit from the use of gold, and if you used up all your gold and didn't get what you wanted that's really just too bad. Buy more.

Best post of this thread (why is he banned?). Did you get the gold you paid for? Then Gree has met their obligation. Are you not satisfied with your experience as a result of your own choices or your lack of understanding of developer intentions? You need to manage your expectations.

You don't own anything, and gree owes you nothing. This is nothing more than sticking quarters into an arcade game. As soon as your money runs out, your time expires, or the company decides to switch off the game, that's it, game over. You may come back to get the same experience as you got before and realize it costs you $1.00 to play the same game you played for $0.50 last week. Even if you buy a vault of gold and the game shuts down an hour later before you can spend it, too bad. Accept it and enjoy your experience as much as you can while it lasts.


Telling a client what he wants to hear is not the mark of a good lawyer. You don't have a cause to sue because you don't like the changes that were made to a freemium game. It's sort of pathetic watching all of you weep and moan no matter what happens. It's always the end of the world, but the pattern has been repeating since 2011.

The very last sentence is why I am interested. I have continued playing because I enjoy my syndicate and the friendships I grown within, and I enjoy this game in my spare time. If you don't think holding a company accountable for the words they speak is important, then move on, read other threads. I for one want GREE to follow through not just limp out of a potentially new aspect of the game.

Seems like a little false advertising, directly in the game about a feature that simply doesn't exist anymore. Might wanna check that out GREE.

Last time they mentioned it was back in February, we moved on 4 months so far and numerous threads have been made about this issue without any answers given ever. I guess it's clear that they either don't care or they simply don't have an solution. Whatever it might be, I don't think they will come up with a solution. At least not in the coming few months.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending and/or attacking anyone here, I'm just telling what has happened and what I think will happen in the (near) future. In my opinion it was a good idea from GREE to shut down the accomplices because it screwed up the gameplay of many people (and back then there were a lot more 'complain' threads than there are now), but they should have compensated the people who spent effort to get those accomplices. I can imagine people who spent hundreds, maybe thousands of gold to receive those accomplices are very mad. The least GREE could have done was give back the gold, refund the purchase(s) of gold or come up with a solution by giving the accomplices actual value. All of that did not happen, but I don't think whining on this thread will ever help this case. You've got 3 options: (1) send GREE customer service an email and explain your situation really detailed, (2) forget your loss, move on with life, and accept the fact that it was an 'investment' in a virtual black hole anyways, or (3) get a refund.

P.S.: I don't think this forum is the right place to discuss how to get a refund, because this is GREE's forum. I suggest contacting GREE customer service first. You never know ;)

That is the important statement made by an official GREE administrator. Many members are talking about "forget it", or "move on", to them I say is that how you want this game handled? We should expect zero accountability from the administration and game developers? I have read several suggestions on uses for the accomplices some good, some bad...but when you tell other customers/players to get over it, all you are voting for is more of the same.

The sssllloooww dissolving of accomplices without word one is really the absolute worst thing GREE can do. The only real acceptable solution is to create a use, or be truthful and reply with an apology and closure.

They got paid and when it comes to them that's the bottom line! I personally liked the accomplices but it's been so long now that they have been removed from the game that I don't miss them! I work hard at raising my stats that is all I can do. Bury this stupid thread and just focus on improving your stats by acquiring better items in game.

How do you check how many duplicate accomplices you have? Are they in your inventory? My max kingpin power is 764/498.

SO the fact that we are still getting jerked off by GREE on this accomplice debacle is really pretty frustrating.

GREE needs to come up with a fair and equitable refund algorithm and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Included in that refund schedule should be a clause that if the player chooses, instead of cash refund, they can get 2X the refund amount in gold. Most would probably take the gold if they still play and it would COST YOU NOTHING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT GREE. Such a move would have the added benefit of not making you look like the slimy, manipulative company you currently appear to be. SO the fact that we are still getting jerked off by GREE on this accomplice debacle is really pretty frustrating.

GREE needs to come up with a fair and equitable refund algorithm and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Included in that refund schedule should be a clause that if the player chooses, instead of cash refund, they can get 2X the refund amount in gold. Most would probably take the gold if they still play and it would COST YOU NOTHING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT GREE. Such a move would have the added benefit of not making you look like the slimy, manipulative company you currently appear to be. People almost universally hated accomplices, and they discontinued the feature. I didn't... I liked them, and I thought all the complaining was premature and unfounded. If we're lucky, they'll fix things a bit and make the accomplices useful again someday, but demanding "compensation" is silly. You have no property interest in the game to be "compensated" for, and the game can change without warning at their discretion. This is like demanding "compensation" for all the gold you wasted prior to 8 months ago when they added three zeroes to the end of every prize making everything you did in the last three years obsolete. Get over it.

Regardless of what some have said in various posts when refunds are brought up, you had every right to request, and expect, a refund for what you spent on accomplices. If you didn't get satisfaction from Gree you should have went to Apple or whatever Android has, to request a refund from them. These refunds were given and information was posted, so if you didn't take advantage of you are SOL now and requesting a refund at this point is a little bit late IMO. However, it's even more mind boggling that there are people that felt they were wronged by the way accomplices were handled, requested a refund from their provider, received this refund, and then used it to buy more gold. I feel that people who are constantly going over Gree's head should be banned as they should know better and they are obviously taking advantage of this situation...

I just started a new mini a few weeks ago, and it did automatically come with the first accomplice.

Fortunately my stats of my other players didn't depend on accomplices to win/lose fights against rivals.

It is what it is. I'd rather time be spent on fixing game play issues prior to any accomplice decisions.

Isabella Fawks has gone legit. She completed her doctorate at a reputable online institution and quit the life of crime and pole dancing. She recently got married to an OTR driver and they are expecting their first kid in February.

Paul Ringo Wei took his money and moved to Costa Rica to start a charter fishing company. Supposedly his old syndicate gets a kickback which is why he was allowed to leave. He hooked up with Eva Vasquez unbeknownst to her beau, Sam Parker. Eva booked a fishing trip with Paul's company to celebrate Sam's birthday and rumor has it the boat only came back with two people. Sam's wallet was found floating in the water two week's later.

Konstantine Dorner is still working as an assassin, but also has a pet sitting service on the side.

Jacqueline Hush was hired by Jon Johnson to put a hit on two nuns that abused him in grade school. The hit went horribly wrong as the nuns were ready and Jacqueline was killed and the jury called it self defense. Jon is currently serving 20 years as a result.

I highly doubt that it has fallen on deaf ears. Most of the refund type issues take a minimum of 72 hours for a response (not always a solution). They have to look into the account and see where the funds went.

Gree has the right to change game content at any time including turning off the servers, and you have NO legal remedy. Sales were not going in the right direction, Gree tried something new that everybody just had to try, and enough people disliked it, likely by design, that when they brought back "classic" Crime City (they even used those exact words) people were happy again and things returned to normal. Except for the few who actually liked that garbage, they are disappointed it's not coming back. Too bad, you are a minority and the experiment is long over. Time to get over it, pull up your grown up pants, and just take what Gree dishes out without expectations. Holding them to any sort of expectation is where your disppointment comes from. Sales were not going in the right direction, Gree tried something new that everybody just had to try, and enough people disliked it, likely by design, that when they brought back "classic" Crime City (they even used those exact words) people were happy again and things returned to normal. Except for the few who actually liked that garbage, they are disappointed it's not coming back. Too bad, you are a minority and the experiment is long over. Time to get over it, pull up your grown up pants, and just take what Gree dishes out without expectations. Holding them to any sort of expectation is where your disppointment comes from. Let go of that and there's nothing wrong with this game. I mean, there is, but it's meaningless and affects nothing important.

You bought gold, you got gold. You got what you paid for. You don't have any right to expect any particular benefit from how you use that purchase. Gree has the right to change game content at any time including turning off the servers, and you have NO legal remedy. The people seeking refunds for their purchases are committing fraud and cheating in-game by obtaining gold without paying for it.

It is because of the fact that it's as you've said "never been answered", so why do you think it'll ever be? All the Community Managers who were the closest ones to have a clue of how the game works are laid off, none of the developers seem to even read the posts on this Forum and Sirius doesn't seem like the sort of person who will answer these questions.

Hey Max,

Let me start off by apologizing for the delay in getting you a response to your concerns about the changes we have recently made with the in game mechanics.

I completely understand your frustrations with us after accomplices were added to the game and then removed after you and so many others, put hard work and time into getting them.
We really did not feel that the accomplice feature we developed met our standards or our player's standards, which is why it has been temporarily disabled.

Our game design team has collected feedback from players and they are working on a new use for the accomplices that have been earned already. The accomplices that you have earned will still be available to you when the accomplice feature is re-released.
Our teams are actively discussing any potential compensation that we can offer to players like you who had put in the effort to get stronger by collecting the accomplices we released.

We will let you know as soon as we have any concrete information.

they never come back, when that back u need to pay again or them. maybe an options like : u want ur accomplice ? do the job and delivery them for 1500 gold !
