Epic crystal drops

In the last epic crystal round I calculated that the crystal drop was around 20% of kills. This seems to be very low and fustrateing. There was 1 stage that I killed the boss with both normal and special attacks 10 times straight without a drop. Anyone else have this happen or is this a normal thing?

Yes I had the same problem and the time to get all the crystals was shorter lots in my guild are unhappy
