Change in attack equation?

I'm slightly suprised there hasn't been more comment on this, apart from a couple of observations at the end of last weeks dev notes.

During and leading up to war it seemed pretty clear that the attack equation had shifted in the attacker favour, I'm certainly able to attack much tougher targets than in the last two wars. Is the result now only calculated on attacker attack vs defender defence, rather than also including defender attack vs attacker defence?

Can we have some communication on this please?

You can see new Gree's calculation.
Go to rival base, check his stats in profile, then attack him and see in battle report how much defense he lost when you attacked him

Who needs alliance defence boosts anyway?

I did notice in the past week that in the results screen my attack and his/her defense was not the same as shown in the profile. Still random though , I beat some one 30 mil higher when my soldier Attack was 100 points higher , but lost to someone 15 mil higher when my soldier Attack was only 25 points higher.

Yeah I was definitely winning a lot atks that would lost before when new equipment first came out seemed a lot better to me I've been focusing on getting as much equipment as possible.
