Street Assault inventory question

I have multiple items in inventory but am unable to use them. Could somebody please tell me if this is a glitch that's being worked on or if I'm having a blonde moment and doing something wrong.

Are they different SA units from different SA events? If so then you can't use them

Example: Assault Pyros

When street assault first started there used to be different deplorable items every battle. For the last few they have been using the same ones. I think the ones in your inventory are from past street assaults.

It appears as if Evan raced me, and I typed the answer to the random question in the top.

If they're not usable why are they cluttering up our inventory taunting us?
