View Full Version : Question for the mods....

Just wondering why part of my sig was deleted?

It was merely pics of me (and fabulous ones at that) taken at a local LGBT function. No nudity or even any hint of it. I gotta say, I feel quite saddened by this if discrimination of my alternative lifestyle was the reason. It would display a level of ignorance and misunderstanding that sadly I am all to familiar with but that I had hoped was in the past. I thought we as a community were beginning the process of mending those wounds that have unfairly characterized my people as pariahs. Sadly, it appears I was wrong. There is still much healing to be done. I expected better from GREE.

In the interest of full disclosure, here's one of the pics in question, the other won't resize correctly now.

The content of the pictures was fine, however the size of the images was too large, particularly since you included both in your signature. We ask that you keep your signature limited to a "reasonable size". We are going to be releasing an updated Code of Conduct soon and that will include signature limitations.

Molly's Voice

I figured reasonable size equaled the character limits set forth in the signature field for links and text, no?

May I include one of them?

I would assume that if your signature is 2x larger than an average post, then it's probably too large.

Thats sort of an ambiguous quantifier. You obviously have not seen any of Monte or Evan's posts. :)

Can you resize it so that it is no large than 200 pixels high? For images that is the recommended height. 600px x 200px

Either way, thank you for the clarification. It's good to see that Gree is in fact tolerant of alt lifestyles.

And I see nothing wrong with having a big signature, they are annoying sometimes but if the man wants to have some eye widening recruitment pics in his sig then let him have it

Also hey Clementine, mind taking a look at some of my recent threads that were made almost specifically for the eyes of forum admins? ;)

You can do so without having excessively large pictures. We are going to be setting guidelines in the new Code of Conduct for signature size/content. As well as user pics.

I will go take a look.

Don't do it, you'll just be encouraging the attention seeking. And once people know you'll do that, slowly every thread will become an attention seeking thread that tries to directly address mod/devs.

First, he was never going to go look. 'I'll go take a look' is like the automatic responses you get when you send a ticket in, what is written down about how it will be passed down to the devs is never going to happen.

Second, which is worse, threads that are made directly for the admin's ears or the fact that they have to be made because of the admin's inability to show up once in a while, much less look at a thread and take a minute out of their time to respond?

She already responded to this thread, and has agreed to go look at whatever thread you're talking about. Don't be surprised when every thread is "can a mod answer this" or "will the devs look at that".

No.

Thought it was in this thread somewhere (http://forums.gree.net/showthread.php?96770-Meet-Your-Staff-Senior-Community-Manager-Clementine), but it appears someone has been doing some post editing/pruning in there. Either way, lots of things you said there turned out to be lies, whether intentional or not.

Pretty sure it was a past thread reference to this blog post about the community team - http://product.gree.net/us/blog/442/gree-loves-our-players-interview-with-the-community-team/ .

Tadaaah and Clementine left to right respectively if I am correct. ;)

Heh, I saw that. That's pretty messed up. This is the kind of discrimination I'm talking about. There's nothing wrong with me showing off a little side pec every now and then. It's art.

Maybe someone saw it and was jealous.

But seriously, I hope that's not why they removed it, because that would be uncool.

Unfortunately, I fear this to be true. I sent a complaint already, haven't heard back yet. Sad times we still live in. I try to stay positive though. One's character is put to the test in times of adversity.

I sure hope no one discriminates against my discriminations and my life style. Which of course is and should be private and I wouldn't make it anyone's business anyway, although I do think they should quit giving us bigamists with 6+ wives a hard time. Besides we all love animals too.

Butthurt much?

It's close-minded attitudes like yours that enable the haters to discriminate against my people. Shame on you.
