Many would say, to extract real money from your purse in exchange for fake "amarillo" stuff.

A few know that a great part of the addiction cycle is ritual and repetition, as in the "pipe", the "place", and "you gotta keep puffing, snorting, inhaling, smoking, and even tapping".

Even if it is a simultaneous energy event, it doesn't mean you have to do both. Perhaps they realize that not everyone chases the 3 day wrapper? Perhaps they wanted to introduce something to keep those folks tapping (instead of taking a break for 3 days)? Who knows.

One thing is for sure, you don't have to do all events. There is no point trying to keep up with the Jones's all the time. Pick the events that give you the greatest lift...and do only those. You will be much happier for it...and you will have more money in your pocket, too.

If this is another energy event as it states its a FLTQ,which means you should participate in it.
So if you started other one and want to complete it you kinda need to do both.

Of course I do. My point is that gold spending is all relative, and there will always be big gold spenders. I think a lot of the people who whine and moan about the high requirements, but spend gold anyway, are a huge part of the problem in this game. The game may be free, but it is not immune to market forces. The whiners just need to quit spending gold. When Gree sees a pinch in their budget, the event requirements will come down.

I have experience in industry, so let me fill everyone in on a 'secret' (it's not really a secret). In F2P games, the companies are setting up their business model so that they make their net revenue on a very small segment of their playerbase. These players are known in the industry as 'whales', and they can represent as few as less than 1% of the total players who are playing the game. These people will spend to oblivion and financial destruction. The focus is on keeping them happy and keeping that carrot just out of reach.

The problem that MW has is that there is no real investment into simply 'playing' the game. You can't start the game today and spend your heart out (i.e. 1st and 2nd mortgage on the game) and 6 months from now be competing with the big dogs, because there's continuous inflation in this game. There is no end-game here. The end-game is you run out of money or max out your credit cards. While people continue to spend with abandon on this game, the game will have no long-term sustainability.

People need to stop taking the bait and pinch off their wallets for a time. If Gree saw even a 30% drop in revenue in this game for 1 month, we'd see big, positive changes in this game. But for now, they read the gold spending as "the players are licking their chops, they want more!"

Spot on Nexus. It's simple really. Grees overall incentive to provide any of these games is to make money. They do not care how they make it, as long as they do. Any changes they do make are for that purpose, and that purpose alone. If they are making money, there is no incentive to change anything. Only when the money stops flowing will change be seen, until it starts flowing again. Is there a chance Gree will just take their ball and go home? Sure. But if they do, who are the real losers, us or them?
