Uploading Pictures

Can anyone help with an "idiots" guide to putting pictures into a post ? I have tried uploading from computer using insert image and also tried with the paperclip attachment button but all it comes up with is the file name .jpg , how do you put a picture up so it shows instead of having to click a link to see it ? Its making my brain hurt trying to figure it out . Thanks in advance ;)

@Smokey, it's called copy and paste.

Unless it's a file from your computer, such as a screenshot, in which case just upload it onto imgur then copy and paste it from there.

Ok cheers for the replies , I actually was aware (sort of:rolleyes:) of the imgur way but thought there might have been a way to easily do it on forum as such .
