I just got aware of that the prices for gems has increased. Wow! and it's not a little raise either. It's $45 for me, that's pretty much.

Guess you want us to stop playing this game? Why not just say so? Here's no support in the forum anymore, you show prizes falsly and who knows what else you're up to.

Anyone know of a app game that survived a change like this..others I have played all failed when this was tried.

I checked chats here and there and heard that the raise is for Europe. Not a good idea at all, Gree.

Include Canada in there too. Close to 1$ on the 50 gems, and 20$ on a mountain. Increase.

You are right it's not gree, but it's also not Apple.(Apple just did what they were told)
It's our own governments, the people we elected in, that caused this hike in prices.
If your in Canada what happened to "free trade" with the U.S.?

Gree, of course, could have communicated this to it's player base. Perhaps good customer service is a bridge too far.

I'm sure Gree can set the price for what a mountain costs. They can choose to not make it higher, just as they can choose when it's gonna be a sale. So, now they can choose to lower the price again.

Hey guys, we wanted to let you know that this is due to an Apple VAT (value-added tax) and foreign exchange rate change that just rolled out. GREE has not increased prices. Here is a brief article if you'd like to read some more about it:

Apple could have done the same thing..they have email and locations of all their customers.
On a major change such as this..Apple should have emailed us, when they knew they would have to do this.
But even media releases from them about these changes have been very few.

Gone up in UK from £69.99 to £91.99. And have another game where prices have just gone up by the same amount.

Thank you for the info, but why wait till after it happend to tell us? Post date on the announcement is today's date.
The reply I got from Apple when I asked about why no one was notified about the new changes..I was told they notified the developers on the changes and it was their responsibility to inform there players/customers.

Apple gave the developers less than a day's notice on the price changes, I think?

I might buy this if the change was for more cash in a company pocket, but given its a new international tax. Nope, people knew about this for a time now..and everyone kept it quiet till almost after the fact(it was after the fact for a lot of people)

Hi there, while indeed Gree has nothing to do with this VAT and conversion rate/fee adaption by apple it would still be a good sign if Gree could adjust the gem prizes for each country to balance it on its own by reducing the costs of gems by the amount of VAT at least.

I understand that it would be a lot of work but the disparity througout the world is simply too high and without any change it would simply reduce the playing and spending community by a lot.

This game lives by all their participants around the globe and the most affected countries in Scandinavia, Europe and Russia are a big part of it.

Understanding that Gree cant change this adaption by Apple i still look forward to a more balanced reaction for each country which has the same value in balance as any other balancing change could have done ingame on factors or anything else.

Thank you in advance

If the price isn't lowered again, they are gonna loose a lot of gem buyers. I know I can't keep on buying gems like I have. It went up from $100 to $145 for me and that is way to much.

from $105 to $139 here in UK... crazy increase. I agree wholeheartedly with Ryan Gree needs to adjust their gem price as other games have .... I play at least one other game where Diamond/gem price for top package was £69.99 same as a mountain was here in KA but in the other game their new price is now £79.99 making it a £10 rise which is bad enough but affordable unlike the £22 increase here..... If other games can do it I don't see why Gree cant

this increase is not limited to just gree games.....it has increased in a game I play now.....I expect it will be the same for most games pending a change in price from the game company in question

Yes but the increase was ridiculous! It was 45%! Now it's lowered again though and the increase for me is 25% instead of 45%, so it's a bit better.

I will give credit where due and say thank you for bringing the price back down in line with other gaming firms as requested my price has now reduced back down from £91.99 to £79.99 and I appreciate that for once Gree have listened .....

SO...please now can I have my gems back from the limited time item bonus wrongly advertised lol

So looks like everyone ok with Gree hiking there prices the most.I know I not Gree the highest prices I seen so far in the uk mostly other Devs only put up there prices by 10 pounds to £79.99 not the £91.99 gree has absolutely disgusting and taking advantage of the apple situation and us.

^^ lol didn't realise that was you.. confused me ;)

Apple set pricing tiers that developers must follow. see this link for 2014

http://forecomm.mptw.fr/templates/PriceMatrix.html

The $100 (99.99) is tier 60 according to apple. That used to be £69.99.. Developers can't just pick a price but having to use the tiers that are provided by apple.

But maybe the wrong tier was allocated for Europe.. Gree would need to answer that

I'm trying to get my hands on the 2015 xls.

So...those affected by the new VAT are paying more in taxes and less for actual gems now? If there is an adjustment to the cost of the gems to offset the VAT increase GREE should do that for the US also.

I want to join Grant here.

Many Thanks for adjusting the quotes in certain countries as i heard from my team mates. I wasnt affected and couldnt see it myself but heard from many that they still have higher prices but that it was adjusted downwards.

So thanks again for the really fast action!!

You know, I would watch what you ask for...the us gov always needs more cash too. And given US company's(developers) are unsure of dealing with international now...Obama just might take the easy solution and add a similar tax to make it even.
Think of the extra cash they could generate if they did. In their eyes it would be a win win

Good thing Obama can't impose taxes on his own. Taxes here in the US originate from the House of Representatives which is controlled by conservatives. They'll keep a lid on those liberal communist.

i think Canada and Australia were increased some time ago. Maybe Gree could decrease it a bit also there?

i mean all those countries are still paying more in relation to the US $, even after the reductions but it helps keeping the disparity lower then 20% compared to US$ quotes.

Thank you

Hello Vixia

This is not a GREE decision. This was a global change from Apple. ALL games you play are going to be affected. This is in no way something we can control. Please send your grievance to Apple because we also believe this is very unfair to our European players.
