Mini's Dead?

I just started playing my mini, with this update what's changed for them? Pro's & Con's etc.... I'm guessing that there's no benefit anymore. Or if not would they go to a certain level then stop? <~~~maybe unpredictable or N/A.

Now that I can play the same account from multiple devices I've given up my mini. That was used mostly to pass the time when I didn't have my iPad.
